He would have been good, other commitments will always win.

It was a risk in having the coronation relatively quickly and deciding to have a big concert that some invited acts would not be available at short notice - usually there was over a year between an monarch's death and coronation. But the Queen died on September 6 2022 and King Charles crowned May 6 2024 - 7-8 months

George V died January 20 1936 - Edward VII planned coronation May 12 1937 (16 months) - but never took place but they kept the same date for George VI
