The royal family

He's the last person to contribute positively to mental health challenges.

WinnieTheW0rm · 26/12/2024 11:03

He was invited to the NYT DealBook summit earlier this month in the capacity of co-founder Archewell and CHIMPO Better Up, so yes I know that he is still connected to it. But I'm still not entirely sure whether it's any good at what it says it does (something that's probably more obvious from within US than from here in the UK)

He's also a director and trustee of African Parks, and we don't really hear about that either

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 26/12/2024 11:37

It’s sad to hear that there are so many unhappy employees there, and the real fear and risk of burnout at this company. It’s sad to hear about it at any company but quite alarming at a company that is encouraging mental fitness at work.

Aspargar · 26/12/2024 12:00

Doesn’t seem like as a company they will be around for long with unhappy staff, lay offs and questionable spending.

That million pound pay cheque Harry’s getting won’t last much longer and he’ll need all the money hecan get, he will have two very expensive cases to pay for next year. The Sun (regardless of outcome he will have to cover costs because he refused a settlement) and the security appeal.

2025 is going to be an expensive year for them!!!

FatFiatMultiplaWhopper · 26/12/2024 12:02

They pay a lot of lip service without backing it up.

How on Gods earth does Harry justify being paid a million pounds? What is he doing for that? It’s not a job in any real sense. An absolute travesty.

So basically royal threads are following a narrative set by the Daily Mail now?

Oh dear!

CathyorClaire · 26/12/2024 20:01

Wasn't there a bit of a stir about the unpleasant culture at BU a little while back?

Harold seems to be making a bit of a habit of not addressing concerning allegations in respect of his associated bodies.

Even their customer reviews are atrocious, they have a 2.4 rating on trust pilot from their customers. Sounds like a dreadful organisation if both their customers and their employees are unhappy.

Harry is getting paid for nothing more than putting his name to the operation.

ToomanyMilesAway · 26/12/2024 20:59

This is the problem when you are a figurehead but not really involved .

CathyorClaire · 26/12/2024 21:12

I suspect this may be yet another deal that's reached term and he's getting his PR puffing.

Yes there was. And it sounds like a cult.

ForAmberQuoter · 26/12/2024 23:18

I had a look at the employment review and rating site that the article took its info from. Buck Palace apparently has some dissatisfied staff too & Bullying in the past 3 years was mentioned in two reviews. I didn’t look any further. But did think it was typical that the tabloid article only mentioned BetterUp not BP.

I’m wary of these types of online review websites.

WinterCrow · 26/12/2024 23:35

I've been saying this for a long time, but what Harry brings to BetterUp is on record: it's Invictus as a client. It is a significant conflict of interest and one that would not have been permitted had he been a working senior royal.

Baital · 27/12/2024 23:18

It was never a real job, surely that was obvious? 'Chief Impact Officer '? What on earth were his qualifications?

And what does he actually do, apart from turn up to occasional events to spout a few meaningless platitudes?

boredashellbythiscrap · 28/12/2024 12:59

And what does he actually do, apart from turn up to occasional events to spout a few meaningless platitudes?

He is basically continuing to do what he did when he was a working Royal. Turning up at events and in return living a life of luxury.

Tikityboo · 28/12/2024 14:57

It would be interesting to know how long his contract was for, what the assessment is on their ROI to date and when it will be up for renewal?

CathyorClaire · 28/12/2024 20:26

BetterUp is offering 30% discounts on its plans.

Hope Harold's not on his way to becoming CHIMPO of TitsUp.

And that he's cashed this year's cheque 🤑

TotoroFTW · 28/12/2024 20:39

Given that Harry is effectively bullying several members of his family, such as Kate, how can he justify doing such a role?

Harry has said incredibly damaging and hurtful things about Kate, such as that she thought the Nazi outfit was hilarious and wouldn't share her lip gloss. Harry knows for a fact that Kate will never be able to publicly defend herself against this.

He's the last person who should be advocating for mental health!

Yes, it’s in keeping with the family tradition.
