So Clare Keller who once designed for the likes of Gucci, Chloe, Givenchy is now at Uniqlo.

NYT has done an article on Clare, where Clare tries to make out that Clare wanted her stint at Givenchy to be a short one …sure Clare

Meghan has emailed in to say she got a few items from Clare’s Uniqlo collection. Bet she’s gutted she can’t get the designer togs anymore! But my god…Meghans hardly the person to call upon as a fashion ambassador.

But I’m thinking, 2017- April 2020, when she left Givenchy. Is a very short time for a head at an atelier. So it looks obvious she was let go or was ‘mutually agreed’ as the Sussex’s like to say.

But could it be, that her stand out garment from her time there, Meghans wedding dress, was her downfall?

Im sure on paper the dress looked gorgeous. Simple, elegant, clean lines. But with the bespoke duchess satin used, which was incredibly thick - it didnt lend itself to elegant sleeves or a fine fit. We also know from the flower girl dresses it was a rush job. Charlottes dress was shocking, with a hanging hemline etc.

The fit of some of the flower girl dresses and Meghan dress didn’t look good. This must have reflected on Givenchy and Clare. I’m guessing that’s why she left so soon with no job to go to and now is at a fast fashion label!

Her Trajectory seems the same as Meghans. Duchess to D list. Givenchy to Uniqlo.

So why on earth she got Meghan to write an email talking her up I don’t know. Working with her seems like the kiss of death!

You aren't wrong. The obsessive clinging to the titles just makes her look strange. She would be an unknown faded actress without the association with royalty that marriage has given her and she misses no opportunity to tell the world how much she hates his family and hates the institution and the country that gave her those titles. And yet she still insists on being referred to as a royal duchess. It's just shameless merching and makes her look like a hypocrite.Even more weird is her insistence that her children are referred to with titles. Those poor children didn't ask for this and they are too young to make that choice for themselves.

I don't like the word Marchioness (it just seems so awkward). And I know a royal wouldn't be called this but Dame and Baroness are horrible too.

Well , she was given "Duchess" on her marriage by the late Queen , but I think also latterly told - don't trade on it.

The woman has got more front than Blackpool. I know I've said that before but really - using her title makes her look a bit rubbish . Especially with the OW interview . I think she should just quietly drop it

Was it Tina Brown or some one else who said on some thing - Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh answers to Sophie . Meghan says Meghan Duchess of Sussex. I think she can't believe the title she has but also understand - it is not hers ( well by marriage ) and looks a bit naff to keep using it.

Has she ever said 'Just call me Rachel Meghan '?

@CathyorClaire - My guess is no - she will hold on to that title by her fingertips until it is prised out of her cold dead hands if ever. It's what she had . Now if she is confident enough to step out as Meghan Markle - - fair play but give over with the Duchess thing. It's all getting a bit Ruritanian .

I used to work with a girl who, once getting her PhD, used to put Dr literally everywhere Dr Rosie in emails rather than Rosie, even had to write Dr Rosie Jones in full when even signing things like a cheque ... it looks pathetic and is all very 'I'm better than you' (albeit half of us also had phds too lol ... but she did this outside of work) ... MM I think is much the same - I'm better than you ... which of course she's actually trying to use it as a shield to cover her real horrible narc self ... it's not working Megs!!

There's something really weird about that picture.

I think we're now entering territory where celebrity photos will always be modified - it will become totally the norm. So unless we see them IRL we'll never know what they actually look like!

I'm remembering all the fuss made by the SS over Catherine's Mothers' Day photo - completely over the top. I didn't get it because I just assumed all such images are manipulated.

She looks more like Kristen Davis from Sex and the City.

Sarah Armstrong Jones was my favourite, or Eugenie's. They both looked lovely.

It was sort of Tudor in style - but at the same time, very simple.

I think Sarah A-J is a very stylish, understated royal - and has sensibly lived her life well under the publicity radar. I assume she gets her minimalist style and arty sensibility from her father - and to some extent, her mother.

Apparently Sarah Chatto was very close to The late Queen .
Interestingly Sarah was 7th in the LOS when she was born , same as Lilibet is now . Sarah now 28 . In the future the Sussexes will be way down the LOS and it will be interesting to see how the thin-skinned Harry deals with that .

I think Harry will take after Andrew where his children are concerned and will get increasingly pompous as he ages.
