Annual subscription to Netflix cancelled as I don’t support a grifter maltreating a horse.

Now look here, his Majesty The King played polo.
Do you really think that such a man would have taken part if it was the slightest bit cruel.
😉😁😁.

I am unsure of the point you are trying to make, with your grinning emojis, etc. etc. One didn't hit any horses that one recalls.

That's what I employed a whipping boy for. (And, I might add, he slept in the stable FOR FREE!)

😲😲😲 and theirs me being all smug getting it for £4.50 through sky

PrettyAsAVine · 10/09/2024 19:30

I love Netflix and wouldn't be without it now. It's by far the best streaming service imo.

I doubt Netflix will notice your absence OP, is that why you felt the need to flounce from netflix on mumsnet? 😬😂

Differentstarts · 10/09/2024 19:46

Why where talking about netflix has anyone got any good netflix recommendations films or series I like comedy, true life, crime

MrsLeonFarrell · 10/09/2024 19:50

Success may depend on how they look at the world of polo. If it's just horses and matches I suspect it won't do well. If on the other hand it's a gossipy look at a lifestyle only the rich can afford it will probably get a decent amount of views.

I really enjoyed Mind Hunters.
There are the Ricky Gervais stand up specials plus his series After Life, there are 3 seasons. Not everyones cup of tea I know. Don't watch if easily offended!

Excellent documentary called American Nightmare, true crime story

As Catherine is being criticised for being tone deaf to the views of ordinary people who can’t access woodland and beaches, I am just pointing out that Prince Harry’s release of a documentary series about playing polo is fairly tone deaf too.

You’re not missing much anyway so money well saved.

I no longer have Netflix but looked stuff up on someone else’s account recently and there was barely anything I’d watch, maybe one or two documentaries and that was it. If you’re still curious about his doc you can get highlights on YouTube once it’s out. The only interesting bits will be on free YouTube news and entertainment channels anyway so no need to wade through boring bits on paid Netflix.

I know where that was filmed in Norfolk and I have accessed many times for free...its hardly Necker is it.

£4.99 for Netflix. Why are you paying so much?

That’s £122 saved!

I love Netflix.

We’re watching The perfect Couple and Worst Ex Ever at the mo.

Youmwarayoum · 10/09/2024 20:01

So odd. Kate doesn’t know you and also probably doesn’t care about you so not sure why you love her so much you’ve had to cancel your Netflix. You sound like one of those deranged very loyal fans.

Ramblomatic · 10/09/2024 20:05

Differentstarts · 10/09/2024 18:48

£122 what. I only pay £4.50 a month for it why was you paying that

£4.99 is the ad-supported version right? If you want no ads, multiple simultaneous viewers etc, it's more.

rumblegrumble · 10/09/2024 20:07

Dibbydoos · 10/09/2024 19:18

I get mine free with sky...

Me too. Without ads. Not watched anything on it yet, keep meaning to see what all the fuss is about.

I'm not sure I'm just in shock that she was paying £122 a year for netflix when you can get it for £45 a year

You said £4.50 a month in your previous post. Last time I looked there were twelve months in a year, not ten (although I appreciate that still doesn't make £122).

SSpratt · 10/09/2024 20:33

I cancelled Netflix a few months ago, can’t say I miss it. I cancelled due to the lack of quality new drama rather than Harry though!

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 10/09/2024 20:39

I’m £10.99 a month but I don’t have Sky. We love Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Ozark and several of the Liam Neeson films.

Jacopo · 10/09/2024 20:47

Well I’ve watched Better Call Saul three times and Breaking Bad twice so I think I can call it a day.

You can do what you like, it's the announcing of it that's weird.
