Good for them.

Kate and Wills enjoy a Nerf battle with Louis, George and Charlotte

Prince George, 11, Princes Charlotte, nine, six-year-old Prince Louis and their parents joined in the Nerf party festivities at the Gone Wild Festival at Holkham Hall, Norfolk last weekend.

It's on the official scouting website so yes? What point are you making here?

Yes, I know there were officially endorsed pictures.

It wasn't remotely clear that the specific image the DM chose was from those official ones I don't remember seeing it at the time, and it looks far more like a shot from pap/other unauthorised source than the (much clearer) officially released ones at the time.

Obviously, if you know as fact that this one is among the official ones then that's fine. But DM has form for inserting thin end of wedge about using images otherwise obtained. (I've not found that specific shot on the scouts.org.uk website)

I doubt there were paps at the event, tbh.

Even if there were images of the children, the press wouldn't publish them. They would be on twitter or reddit but the press have to obey rules.

The scout event was on mainstream news. It was part of the Coronation weekend celebration, when everyone was encouraged to volunteer on the extra bank holiday. The article makes it very clear there are no pictures of the Wales family at the Nerf event.

@EdithWeston "Publishing pap/unauthorised pics of children is wrong."

Indeed it is. Good that it didn't happen.

EdithWeston · 19/08/2024 07:25

The link you have shared is the one I had already checked and it does NOT contain the image the DM chose

i think it is wrong to use unauthorised images, especially when authorised one’s of the same event exist.

Where did that image come from?
