Any building with Morgan Stanley in it should have decent security. They were probably trailing the French camera crew while laughing.

OneHeartySnail · 20/05/2024 18:42

That is odd.

But fits with all the other smoke and mirrors way they present themselves - a 'Chief of Staff', the 'private office' as if there was also a public office etc

I think the RF were right to just let them get on with it and refuse to respond, over time the truth emerges

My favourite of the Nigeria visit being the white shirt and gifted skirt.

I quite liked the red dress with the ruffles round the skirt. It was just totally unsuitable for the Women in Leadership event. The blue skirt with the white shirt would have been better, out of all the outfits we saw her wearing.

OneHeartySnail · 20/05/2024 18:43

It is sad, really, all that privilege and wealth but still not satisfied with who they are and what they have.

I think they demonstrated that you don't have to show lots of flesh to look fabulous!

...and the bare flesh at the school would have been even more inappropriate if she'd decided to go in to hugging mode with the children. Not a good feel for them.

MrsFinkelstein · 20/05/2024 19:29

Meghan has a lovely, slim, athletic figure. She does have a short torso in proportion to her arms and legs, and her shoulders are wide. Absolutely nothing wrong with having a figure like that - it and she are stunning.

She just needs to learn how to dress it formally. Her real casual look is usually spot on - not quite so much when she goes for the "stealth wealth" look. Her best looks in Nigeria were the white shirt and blue tied skirt, and the yellow dress.

She keeps going for looks that emphasise her shoulders and that make her waist look thicker than it actually is. Her formal looks are often more of a miss than a hit - which is a shame, because when she gets it right it is absolutely gorgeous. I wish she'd employ a stylist that would actually get it right for her.

Though no admirer of the RF I agree with this, OP

But then they're used to playing the long game, or in more common parlance "give folk enough rope and they'll eventually hang themselves"

FloofyBear · 20/05/2024 19:49

Hardly surprises me that Shola is part of the SS, she's just absolutely toxic!! I don't know how or why she gets air time on tv!!

I agree think she has a lovely slim figure but I wouldn’t describe her as athletic, I think she is more delicately built than that, I can see her doing ballroom rather than basketball, the red flamingo dress would have been suitable for strictly rather than a women in leadership meeting.

Me neither, did you know she is Nigerian royalty herself?

is the grand-daughter of the late Nigerian Monarch of Ogere-Remo, Oba Alfred Obafuwa Babington-Ashaye, Legunsen III, the Ologere of Ogere and the daughter of the late Prince Adebajo Babington-Ashaye.

Great names! Love the Babington bit.

FloofyBear · 20/05/2024 20:28

@BigWillyLittleTodger - well she didn't learn any tact, diplomacy or how to treat people respectfully - she's a bully from what I've seen!

BigWillyLittleTodger · 20/05/2024 20:34

Agree she is a bully as are all the SS members, I think it’s membership rule number one! must be a bully.

@CathyorClaire

I’m assuming that documentary is the one that was shown here (France) last week?

Obviously the team that produced that one will have edited for effect.

My own take on it was it didn’t reveal anything sensational, but OTOH it did highlight one or two seemingly really odd issues, the most weird thing was the listed Archewell business address/office they visited that turned out to be almost entirely unused and unfurnished.

As I recall it the presenters basically admitted they left town having hit a brick wall in terms of really finding out what was going on.

That sounds like it may have been a re-showing of the one I was thinking of which was originally aired about a year or so ago.

Personally I think the revelation of the acres of empty office space at Archewell were most intriguing. I think there was also some to and fro over a legal firm which from memory (lots having seemingly disappeared 😡) may have had links to the Harolds using the office space.

I'm not surprised the presenters hit a brick wall. IMO the constantly accumulating Harold files (much like his ghastly uncle's) will be embargoed until interested parties are long gone and only historians will benefit.

This must be photoshopped, right? From their dinner out and Harry seems to have a full head of hair.

Also better skin texture and less wrinkles.

ThePoshUns · 20/05/2024 23:02

Harry's like the head in the play doh baber shop. Squeeze a bit more hair out, then it's gone , then it's back again.

Vespanest · 20/05/2024 23:10

It’s an old photo, probably still edited

AnnieSF · 20/05/2024 23:12

I had forgotten about those Play Doh Heads 😂 and yes you are right!

With a white father and mixed race mother how can she be 43% Nigerian?

Yes, there has been quite a bit of discussion about it. It’s possible and maybe even likely for a person with African American ancestry to get those results. Most Americans (not just North America) whose ancestors were enslaved will test this way. It’s not indicating today’s Nigeria but the region in general. The available samples for people from this population are not extensive and so the results will evolve as the sample grows.

Also, your dna does not show equally from each ancestors. You apparently do get 50% each parent but it’s not necessarily a consistent % from each grandparent, etc.

User14March · 21/05/2024 02:58

@AliceOlive yes, you’re right & that’s a very clear explanation. Also, it’s an ethnicity estimate, your DNA is compared to others on the database & you are labelled as that being that ethnicity if a match. It’s not definitive & adapts/refines as more test, as you’ve said.

A 'mixed race' mother could have one white ancestor out of hundreds/ thousands. All of Ms Ragland's known ancestors in America could also have had various white ancestors, or none.

I assume they need an address in Delaware (?I think) to be registered there and take advantage of the lenient rules for supposed non-profits.

I don't think anyone is under the illusion that it is a genuine office where work takes place!

Delaware is the state of registration for thousands of for-profit corporations doing business in all kinds of industries and markets too. There is no corporate income tax levied there, but there is a franchise tax. No personal income tax is levied on non resident employees or directors of companies registered there.

Delaware has a unique and highly efficient court system specifically for business law cases (the court of chancery - no juries) and Delaware law tends to be used as a precedent in civil litigation in other states. The state Department of Corporations is also very efficient, making incorporation relatively easy.

There are certain drawbacks, but overall, Delaware provides a very business-friendly environment.

@Vespanest

…it’s Harry who i thought looked unkempt.

Yep, there quite a few around who hold that opinion.

There are times when sports jacket, chinos and (what looked like) desert boots are appropriate…and times when they are not.

On a fair few occasions on that tour the chauffeurs and other attending locals looked to have made more of an effort to be smart than he had….

Usually in the US, the 'smarter' your look, the more menial your role is assumed to be.

The casual chic style is an indicator of higher social status.
