Both are apparently incapable of googling their upcoming hosts. Shoddy private school educations.

Yes and Meghan accepted a Nigerian Royal title from this convicted fraudster, what about Meghan's attention to detail, more importantly where were their PR people in all of this.

Pretty dubious title to own now, under the circumstances.

TBF we have to consider the environment that Harry grew up in:

Charles feeling that it's okay to accept millions in cash as a gift from a foreign politician -nothing to see here, it's okay in their culture don't you know

The Queen paying off the a victim of sex trafficking rather than Andrew defending is innocence in court - those kinds of girls knew exactly what they were getting into and anyway it's the queen's money to do as she pleases

The Palace inviting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to the queen's funeral - yes that's the one alleged to have ordered the murder and dismemberment of a fellow citizen in an embassy building. The fragrant Prince has been an international pariah since the , erm, incident. That didn't stop the Palace issuing the invitation. He gracefully declined and so spared the UK some blushes

So yeah growing up Harry perhaps hasn't had the best role models in terms of judging characters.

By the 2 of those those things happened Harry was a grown up, adult, married father.

And was a man in his 30s for the other

You can hardly use them as an example of his upbringing

The thing is, it is absolutely okay to accept millions in cash as a donation to a charity (as this was) if both the recipient charity and the bank accepting it both do the due diligence checks that that kind of transactions require. Once they have done so, and the checks were all passed, the donation is no more problematic than the same sum being transferred electronically.

There’s been an agenda to paint this as the worst thing ever, but that’s a just a case of throwing mud and hoping people can’t see past it. Even the Times that initially wrote about was carefully to say there was absolutely no allegation that there was anything wrong with his transaction.

The UK government was in charge of the guest list for the Queen’s funeral.

(that is the person who gifted Meghan the diamond earrings as a wedding gift that she wore twice after Khashoggi’s murder though, and misled the press about where they came from)

While I agree, let's not forget that Harry's insisted endlessly that the institution's toxic, with the implication that he and Meghan would do it all much better in their new life

So why aren't they?

Hasn't stopped him having plenty to say on Papa's dodgy connections:

Prince Harry voiced ‘concerns’ over motives of Saudi donor to Charles’s foundation (archive.ph)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/05/2024 12:43

It never does stop him yapping about what others do, Cathy, and TBF he had a valid point about Charles's connections

It just doesn't look terribly good when he then expects to feed from the same trough - though god help anyone who tried to tell him so

DelectableMe · 20/05/2024 16:26

I'm just laughing at the idea of Harry, a 40 year old father of two, being excused behaviour because of poor role models!
