Best wishes to her, and to everyone else fighting cancer at this time.

This has brought me to tears. She should not have had to do that, why couldn’t people have just left her alone. I am in a similar position and can’t imagine having to do anything worse at such a vulnerable time.

Why start a thread about it if she wants left alone?

Why not just say what kind of cancer? It’s like the days when no one dared mention cancer and referred to a ‘long illness’

Clearly the 17 existing threads on the subject weren't sufficient.

So your first thought is to run to mumsnet ...

This is the 12th(!!!) post on this. It takes 3 seconds to scan mumsnet when something this huge happens and comment there.

We do not need all these threads

Absolutely not inviting discussion. I had a quick scan and didn't see any other posts

@Hadjab

Absolutely not inviting discussion.

Of course you fucking are. This is a forum ffs. If you wanted to make a statement, Facebook is the place.

Ridiculous

Really? There’s loads and yours was posted more than ten minutes after the announcement. It’s ridiculous all these “hope she’s left alone now” posts which are just inviting further discussion with people clamouring to have their own thread to break the news.

This. Are people really unable to see the million other threads, or are people so starved of attention they can’t just contribute to existing threads about the topic?

So my first reaction is sorrow for Catherine, her family, and everyone else who faces this diagnosis.
I own that t-shirt, I am fine now, thanks to excellent NHS care.

I really really want all the vipers who have posted negatively about Kate in the last few months, the ones who have complained that we are owed an explanation because we pay etc, to EAT SHIT AHD DIE.

They know who they are. Hang your heads in shame.
