Exactly, all anyone sees is the word cancer. What's with this bizarre view that that is the only condition meriting tears or sympathy. Whatever op she already had was clearly very serious. She was already seriously ill.
It's not just cancer that is life threatening/life limiting.
So many people fighting battles every day with other illnesses too.
And some cancers are very treatable now.
(I have a close friend with MND. And another who has had hideous battles with Crohn's since her teens. I may be feeling a bit raw!)
