I had a ~10hr abdominal surgery in 2015. I was bedridden and catheterised for four days, and then just able to hobble to the bathroom with assistance/in a wheelchair (but not fit enough to shower), for another four.
After that it took about six weeks of recuperating before I could have managed a very leisurely visit to for example a farm shop or a garden centre. This sort of activity was actively encouraged by my consultants (along with short slow walks, weather permitting) as a return to fitness and before attempting to go back to work. I looked well, although was often in pain by the end of a trip to the shop, or off my face on painkillers.
All this to say, that whether or not the PoW was at a farm shop for a short trip, it doesn't make her "lazy" or "work-shy", when her work can involve standing/walking around for much longer than she is possibly able to right now, and certainly longer than a gentle stroll round what sounds like a village store - most likely driven door to door.
Some people will literally use anything to demonise that woman, it's kinda pathetic actually, and reeks of misogyny.
