Social media leaking news of POW hysterectomy

It goes without saying its only her business, however I found it odd that whilst 'doomscrolling' from sleeplessness I came across a couple of posts from US news sites claiming they had news obtained from 'Palace sources' posted onto SM.

We all know that KP is somewhat leaky but over something like this? (I suppose Maybe if the price was right?)
Or is it just speculation passed off as the truth?
Or, are US news sources avowed to publish info that uk ones aren't?

I'm not particularly interested in what she's had done, surgery is unpleasant, full stop, But I'm just wondering if there's a reason the story is in US but not uk news-if it even real ( which seems slightly unlikely I would think, but then you never know about anyone personal life).
Just found out odd and curious as to the whys

Sure you didn’t. It obviously was about Prisoners of War….🤣

thefallen · 20/01/2024 12:09

I want to know. I don't have the least bit of shame about being curious. This woman lives a life of unparalleled luxury and status at our expense. We'd be expected to curtsey to her and she wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire. In the event of a national catastrophe or threat (which is ever more likely given the state of the world) she'd be completely safe whilst we burned. So yeah, I'm interested, I want to know what's going on. I don't care if some think I'm awful for it.

The beauty of private healthcare is that as soon as an issue is discovered and a remedy found you can access it instantly and don't have to wait.

Yes - I was booked in for a hysterectomy two weeks after seeing the private consultant (and about three days from initial phonemail to seeing the consultant).

NHS - there was a nine month wait even for an initial consultant appointment, and that was long before Covid, goodness knows how long people have to wait now.

LolaSmiles · 20/01/2024 12:15

Kate is entitled to her privacy on medical matters and not have every operation discussed. Responding to speculation in any way would just add fuel to the fire.
I agree with this.
There's no amount of information they could release that would satisfy the vultures and releasing her medical information in a bid to throw a bone to nosey gossips only tells reinforces the behaviour.

At the end of the day she's human and has a family, and like any human she's entitled not to have her medical details aired publicly.

Not clear what point you're trying to make. Are you upset that some people aren't like you and aren't interested in nasty, nosey, idle speculation about someone else's health?

StillCreatingAName · 20/01/2024 12:19

CupOfCoffeeandaPineappleChunk · 20/01/2024 09:46

@StillCreatingAName you couldn't be more wrong.
I was actually flicking through tik tok on whatever came up while I couldn't sleep. I was just very surprised at ask the excerpts from American news channels which were randomly appearing amongst the other stuff and curious hence my question.
I don't watch news not having a TV and tend not to read it in general. I certainly couldn't be bothered to scout out information about someone else's health concerns, frankly i have my own to deal with currently.

So, why don’t you share some detail of your own health scares, just a few headlines and we can all have a discussion about you and make guesses about what’s wrong with you? Leave us to it and you’re not allowed to come back on to ask for privacy. Does that sound good, fair and nice op?

NoMoreFalafelsForYou · 20/01/2024 12:20

But it agree that she's absolutely entitled to privacy. Sadly, the only way she's going to get it is by providing a bit more information

Nah, however much information was given, it'd never be enough for some.

So they violate patient confidentiality?

Barrenfieldoffucks · 20/01/2024 12:28

Newchapterbeckons · 20/01/2024 10:28

Well that would certainly explain the silence - the concern around surgery and her weight loss. How do you know this?

It is Crohns not crones I might add.

It is, my phone autocorrected and I corrected myself in a post straight after.

Maireas · 20/01/2024 12:27

It would appear so. People talk 🤷

Maireas · 20/01/2024 12:27

So they violate patient confidentiality?

I really hope this isn’t true . The thought that a dr or member of staff would talk about a patients medical history is horrendous

Awful. How dreadful that a woman can't even trust healthcare professionals not to gossip about her personal medical condition.
Not a good advert for that hospital.

If that is true, it fits with the time frame, the seriousness of the surgery, her weight loss and the silence from
BP then Kate has my compassion and sympathy, as that is a horrendous procedure fraught with potential complications and the recovery time is extensive. Prob beyond Easter.

Barrenfieldoffucks · 20/01/2024 12:32

Well, who knows. Apparently it's just a well known thing.

It's just appalling. I'm hoping that it's not true. If it is, it's actually a very serious breach.

A relative who works in private medicine in London. It's common knowledge in those circles

Your relative needs reporting.

I would agree with you, but note, I'm not the poster, I'm the one that queried them.

She still needs to be reported. That is private information. What a violation.

The bulimia rumours are so ridiculous it borders on being funny. The ‘evidence’ is that she’s slim and that she’s had plasters on her hands in various different places. Jesus.

Are they ridiculous though? It is just as likely she has it as she hasn’t. You don’t know any more than the rest of us.

Newchapterbeckons · 20/01/2024 12:35

i think it’s impossible to keep these things entirely hidden as it involves so many people/staff/etc

TousBous · 20/01/2024 12:36

Newchapterbeckons · 20/01/2024 11:42

The king Edward was/is always used by the Queen and RF. I know because I used the same surgeon. So if they were seen there, it’s likely they were heading to the KE. There is nothing else of notes apart from some cool boho cafes.

Edited

?!! @Newchapterbeckons

Why would you assume that? Marylebone must have the highest concentration of hospitals in the country. The London Clinic, the Princess Grace, the Portland… Harley Street is in Marylebone. Have a look at Google maps, Marylebone is a sea of red hospital symbols. There are 2 NHS hospitals (St Mary’s and UCLH) just a few hundred metres from Marylebone Road, although not technically in Marylebone.

Although I’m not sure a convoy being in Marylebone in the most central part of Central London means that Marylebone was their destination, let alone a specific hospital. There are a million reasons to have been passing through. For those that don’t know London, Marylebone is the area north of Oxford Street between Marble Arch and Oxford Circus. Marylebone Road is the A40.
