my god Louise is his double.

LakeTiticaca · 06/01/2024 21:40

Always came across as a bit of a wet lettuce IMHO but he seems to have matured into a solid family man, the only one of HMs children not to have divorced

CarAccident · 06/01/2024 21:45

No
Being of the same age the only 1 ever considered attractive was Andrew
Different gene pool (allegedly)

coxesorangepippin · 06/01/2024 21:46

Yes he was actually stunning

He's the most likeable royal I find

PamelaParis · 06/01/2024 21:48

Absolutely irresistible. 😂

Prince Edward was a hottie!

He was conventionally good looking you can't deny but he was always an arrogant spoilt sod (Andrew )

I don't think anyone would disagree but at the time before all the salacious headlines Andrew was considered the good looking one and this being the 80,s before all the Jeffrey Epstein involvement he had served in Falklands so was seen as a war Hero
I don't think anyone views him that way now .

LakeTiticaca · 06/01/2024 22:14

It's true that Andrew as a young man possessed very good looks. Unfortunately, it has been widely reported that then, as now, he was an arrogant entitled twat

LadyWhineglass · 07/01/2024 21:09

I dated him when we were young and photos don’t do him justice.

WhatdoIdoTree · 08/01/2024 08:50

@LadyWhineglass Andrew or Edward? I can’t stand the way Andrew looks now or then!

Ew, no

EndlessVortex · 08/01/2024 08:56

I agree OP, I remember seeing this pic and I couldn’t believe how hot he was. He was exactly my type! (Although agree with a PP that the men in this family don’t age well!)

Prince Edward was a hottie!
LadyWhineglass · 08/01/2024 09:13

Ed. He was very sweet as well.

I think it’s more how they are expected to dress, style their hair etc that makes them look old before their time by the time they reach their late twenties/ early thirties. Many of them start to lose their hair which nowadays isn’t as much of a problem as it used to be as a shaved head is perfectly acceptable (and can look really good if the bloke is in good shape, wears stylish clothes etc). But it’s not a look that fits in with royal protocol, and neither is facial hair and many of the other current men’s fashions that would take years off most of the Windsor men.

Yes, you’re absolutely right. Though struggling to imagine William with an ultra-groomed full beard and a shaven head!

Gettingbysomehow · 08/01/2024 10:36

Just another upper class twit that looks like a horse. They need to bring some new genes in.

Reputedly, Prince Philip said Diana would ‘breed in some height’.

Personally, I think they need to introduce some higher IQs, but no one clever would marry in.

Now imagine if someone said those working class lot need some new genes in to improve their looks and behaviour.

feellikeanalien · 08/01/2024 10:51

Is anyone else getting adverts about Edinburgh's outdoor beauty?😁

StartupRepair · 08/01/2024 10:53

@LadyWhineglass was it serious or a youthful fling?

LadyDanburysHat · 08/01/2024 10:57

I do think William looks very like Edward now.

As a sibling set the 4 of them do all look very different.

That would make no sense. The WC (leaving aside, obviously, small, isolated, static rural communities in the past) has always been a large, largely urban, mobile population group with far fewer restrictions on who to have children with. ‘In-breeding’ not generally an issue, apart from specific groups that routinely practice cousin marriage.

Moveoverdarlin · 08/01/2024 11:08

Good grief, no. No! Those are two particularly good photos of him.

I'm referring to the general theme - oh we don't like this aspect of a community so let's do this. Hmmmm people have tried that in the past.

Is that you Ruthie Henshall? Grin

I always think Edward looks the kindest of the four of them. I would think Prince Anne is fantastic in a crisis, but very no nonsense.

Ariela · 08/01/2024 11:24

Very polite. I bumped into him a couple of times. (literally)
