Really looks like Middleton/Spencer combo.

He looks like Diana's brother Charles with a hint of Andrew in the toothiness.

Oh and that's your ration for the year dear Press, now leave us alone for six months. Bye.

First you're sneering because there's a picture, then you're,sneering because there's only one picture every six months.
Make your mind up.

PMSL, this thread appears on my feed above one complaining about how over-exposed the children are. They can't win.

I think he looks great. My son often wore outfits like this- not sure what the issue is.

RhymingGuitars · 22/07/2023 14:25

@RYGO we'll have to agree to disagree on that. He always looks on edge and like he'd rather be a million miles away. All the royal children have a huge burden on their shoulders. I strongly suspect he won't face the resilience to withstand royal life. And hopefully his family society will be a much more accepting place if he doesn't chose public life.

Oh, leave him alone. He's ten. Stop dragging him over your opinion on his resilience. You don't know anything about him. He looks confident and relaxed in this photo.

LaMarschallin · 22/07/2023 17:23

He looks confident and relaxed in this photo.

Absolutely.
Just as well he's no idea MN exists. A poster on another thread thought he looked "anxious" - she could just tell from a picture - and wanted "to swoop in and adopt him". That would make any child look bloody terrified.

I'm not very interested in photos of children other than mine or those of friends and family (looking here because I'm interested in people's reactions to said photos) but he looks fine to me. Happy, appropriately dressed and with excellent teeth (not "toothy").

RhymingGuitars · 22/07/2023 17:26

@Gracewithoutend (nor beginning it would seem) I never said he didn't. I said it was lovely to see a picture of him looking relaxed.

It's a direct contrast to when he is required to attend events.

What a lovely, relaxed photo. I’m impressed they got a lovely smile. My boys would have a ‘I don’t want my photo taken’ grimace!

I think he has a look of Will about him.

His whole life has been and will continue to be about being made to do things he doesn't want to do for the sake of public image.

I imagine that by 10, he's more than used to what's expected of him.

That might make it sound like I don't like the royal family - I really do! - but that's the reality of the situation.

Liamgallaghersparka · 22/07/2023 17:56

He seems a lovely young man, definitely becoming more Spencer as he grows, especially around the eyes.

And dressed as a middle aged man at ten yrs old.

His clothes look fine - shirt & trousers. What on earth else would he wear? Surely not some tacky T shirt off a market stall? Nice looking boy, too.

pilates · 22/07/2023 18:11

Nice photo

Notice no replies to, his dad dresses like this. Have a quick Google and his dad does indeed wear clothing of similar ilk. An example how many other ten Yr olds wear blazer, shirt, tie to Wembley football match.

Jesus.

Hes being used to reinforce the idea that George being king is inevitable.
It isn’t .

I can see William in him. Handsome kid 🙂

It's nice to see him looking relaxed. He always looks so uncomfortable at official events. I'd not be surprised if he steps aside and let's Charlotte have the crown in years to come.

Quite a leap there..

Of course he is. The RF wants the RF to survive.

What would you expect?

Thatsshallot1967 · 22/07/2023 18:40

It's a class thing I guess. Preparing for military life where you need to be smart.
It has been reported that the Prince is not going to be required to join the military if he doesn't wish to. A first for a future heir to the throne.

🙄 You're the one dragging a 10 year old boy for lacking in resilience so he'll need to give the crown up and I'm the one with no grace?? Sheesh.

toomuchlaundry · 22/07/2023 18:51

I bet you can buy similar clothes he is wearing for boys of his age in any High Street clothing store like Next

You mean he's not wearing jogging bottoms and a football shirt?

I'd have said "classy".

I think this huge burden stuff is a bit exaggerated.

On holiday in Jordan, I met a 6 year old selling souvenirs in Petra. Now that kid has a burden to bear, working and helping to support her family at 6. Prince George not so much.

What does a 6 year old in Jordan have to do with George?
Yoi could say that about any child who is well fed and cared for.

Not George's fault

dottiedodah · 22/07/2023 19:28

I think he looks relaxed and happy. He has a wealth of privilege of course ,but this is not a "normal" childhood really. He will have been coached for his role from a young age ,and knows what is expected of him.Good to know he wont be made to join the military if he doesnt want to. I think he will be like PW and accept his role with grace and style when the time comes

It's not his fault, of course. It's more about the "oh poor child, such a huge BURDEN he carries" just totally lacking perspective
