How do people in Westminster Abbey go to the loo?

They’re in there already. The service doesn’t finish until 1pm. It isn’t like they can leave early to avoid the traffic and the queue at the door.

if I’d been inside since 8am I’d be bursting already.

Some years ago I heard one of the pageboys from the Queen's coronation interviewed. He said that for that 1950s event there were no loos at all, and everyone knew this in advance. His parents wouldn't let him drink anything from the evening before - he said it was very difficult and uncomfortable, and he was begging for a drink.

I would be bursting within about 20 mins

Glad it’s not just me. Rather fed up with the smug “I can go for 14 hours” brigade….

I've been wondering this! I suspect there are quite a few incontinence pads in use in that church. I have a dodgy bladder, I'd need it!!

I was thinking the same. I'd have to wear a big Tena pad just in case

Avoiding the loo for 4+ hours is very bad for you.

Poor Eugenie late pregnancy I'd never have held out

Joanna Lumley said there were no loo options and she only had a tiny bit of water in the morning.

In all seriousness I would simply not have any liquid with breakfast. Then I’d be fine. I’d drink litres as soon as I got out of there, and I’d take breath mints (nothing worse than a dry mouth).

I’d take some snacks though!

I’d have had the headache from hell if I couldn’t drink anything
