The weather is predicted to be rainy and grey. It won't be fun for those who do go to the Mall.

Conspiracy theorists who are convinced "they" entirely control the weather have stated it will be a lovely sunny day because "they" wouldn't allow anything else. Now backtracking saying either glorious sun or heavy storms as both would be historic. Looking forward to seeing them twist themselves in knots trying to explain how boring drizzle remains part of "their" plan.

Maybe Goddess Diana looking down upon us is going to give Camilla the drenching of her life 😆

BMW6 · 04/05/2023 17:48

She'd have to be a Godess to make in rain in the closed coach or in Westminster Abbey 🙄

Coming back tonight over the Queen Elizabeth Bridge at Dartford the skies looked very dark indeed with a shaft of sunlight breaking through over London. The Battle Royale between QE2 and Diana in heaven obviously in full flood. She should have lowered that flag earlier and now her son is having to pay for it ! Or rather his subjects.

😂😂😂 oh dear oh dear.......

It was raining for the late Queen's coronation. My mum, newly arrived in the UK, was there

SugarRaye · 04/05/2023 20:38

You know what, Vera, I think you're enjoying this coronation more than anyone. 😁 I bet you're a royalist mole in the Republic camp. Watch out, Novella. 😂

vera99 · 04/05/2023 21:18

Strangely I am enjoying it in an oppositionist sense. At the Queen's funeral it wasn't the time and I even shed a brief tear when Andrew Marr broke the news on LBC. My late dear mum came down from Preston to camp out near Westminster Abbey to see the Coronation in 1953 it was a precious lifetime memory - she would have a wry smile and say to me, you still haven't grown out of this nonsense dear and I would say sorry mum but can you keep on telling Diana to continuing crying. At which point she might get slightly angry. "Go to your room!"

If it does rain then this cheery picture will help us all to grin and bear it. 😂

@BMW6 a good omen?? So the king is going to make 70 years in the throne too?! 😂

BMW6 · 04/05/2023 22:03

Longevity of reign isn't the only measure of a good monarch 🙂

So Diana is drenching Harry and Meghan? What have they done to piss her off then?

There is no royalist logic you just make it up as you go along. That said probably the Royal pic of that year as a memorable image. I would be pushed to find a more impactful one that works on many levels. I think Diana and Meghan would have got on like a house on fire and Harry would have found his mum there for him.

You have a very vivid imagination @vera99
