It now transpires the much trumpeted £2.4m repayment expanded at the last minute to suddenly include eighteen months 'market rent' despite not increasing has actually melted down to a rent free deal for Harold on the grounds the refurb 'increased the property's value'. It's also rather conveniently saved him up to £690k.

It's never going to be rented out commercially so it's hard to see where said 'value' lies.

TBF he's not the only one with a sweet deal on a Crown Estate property. Andrew and Edward have very cosy leases on the giant gaffs they haunt and there's no evidence Andrew's alleged fraudster mate (the one depositing unquestioned amounts for wedding and birthday gifts into the York family's bank accounts) has paid a penny for the Crown Estate Mayfair flat he's lived in .

Outrageous system.

Interesting but I can't find any press reports or posts here referencing him saying this. I'm more and more inclined to think if he'd paid it himself we'd never hear the end of the 'Waaah'ing. I'm finding that, coupled with the absence of the speed-dial legals fairly convincing.

Its more than just H&M. Its the lack of transparent over the will, the fact they don't pay iht. The fact that we paid them money during covid cos the crown expenses profit dropped...like fml there profit dropped and we had to fill the gap...thats utterly shameful.

There is so much more than just what h&m didnt or didnt pay.

It’s not just about Frogmore at all, you clearly have never come across @CathyorClaire before as they regularly post about all the shady dealings of the RF, and anyway so what if it was a thread just about Frogmore? Well they have done enough ‘bashing’ of their own, they can expect to get it back, you can’t police threads.

I would say that the financial arrangements are between Harry and his family. Meghan, like Kate, has no part in it and no leverage other than benefitting indirectly.
Just like Kate, Meghan had her long-term partner (later husband) Trevor Engleson pay her way for a decade and also had a couple of years actual work experience which allowed her to pay her own way for a short time before meeting a Prince (around the same length as Kate's work experience which happened early on).
The difference between them is that Kate is comfortable with this reality and is not prone to exaggeration or self-aggrandizement.
