I read this morning that King Charles has told him he will no longer foot the bill for his £32k a year live in yoga instructor. This shower of free loaders are so detached from reality it’s laughable.

I hope you have a think about this nasty thread and back down a little....this is clearly a mental health thing, particularly when you read more carefully and it as meditation and chanting, not yoga (which is also a "Harry" MH thing).

However, I do think he should pay for it himself!

DessertsForAll · 11/03/2023 18:40

It is not nasty at all. Andrew can do as much yoga as he wants - if he pays for it.

Oh please stop. These worn out phrases are so tiresome. PS You forgot 'cap doffing'

Arise Lady derxa, your loyalty is now rewarded.

Well, if the cap fits, doff it!

Charles grew up very close to the QM and has long been reported as believing he deserved the same extravagant lifestyle she enjoyed www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/uk/2002/nov/16/monarchy.jamiewilson

DessertsForAll · 11/03/2023 19:09

I think Charles is going to come unstuck publicly fairly regularly.

WinnieTheW0rm · 11/03/2023 19:12

If not a working Royal, they shouldn't have any staff paid for except perhaps a housekeeper/cleaner/handyman (for the benefit of the historic house) and some admin support (they don't need a full private office of their own, but perhaps a shared office for all minor royals)

They should use their own resources to cover any staff beyond that, and I'm glad KC is starting to make changes

I suppose it comes down to who’s paying for it really. If Charles is paying for his luxurious lifestyle from his Duchy of Cornwall income, it’s his money to spend. If Andrew wants a £32K a year yoga instructor, he can also pay for their services from his own income ( no idea what that is/where it comes from).

I've always found it a bit mad that that Andrew (with all his traits), and Fergie (who I love but is completely eccentrically off her rocker), managed to raise two seemingly lovely, bright, apparently well adjusted offspring! It gives me hope for my own kids :)

They do seem like pleasant young women, with no public scandals. They were blamed unfaitly - not the mad hatter - for their headware at William's wedding.

I also think Edward turned out quite pleasant. After It's a Royal Knockout and the army which were just part of embarrassing youth, he himself hasn't caused any public trouble.

The Sun thinks that Anne and Edward are also surprised they have been left nothing in the will, everything went to Charles.

Is that huge inceease in cost due to the massive security operation that will be needed this time? Or is he just spending money on things they didnt at the last Coronation?

It's three days long for a start!

I read ages ago that to keep costs down Charles would be having a 1 hour instead of 3 hour coronation.

But I guess it's been reduced to 1 hour of him having the ceremony because he doesn't want to be faffing about on show for 3 hours, and the rest him enjoying himself.

WinnieTheW0rm · 12/03/2023 07:36

The Big Lunch happens annually anyhow (and Camilla's been patron for a decade)

Having a public concert has happened with 3 out of 4 of the Jubilees (first one had months of events and tours, but I don't remember a large scale public concert).

I don't think its an extravaganza by any stretch

Well it sounds ridiculous in these circumstances!

i believe that’s the point.

He does Yoga? Are you sure that's not a euphemism?

This is what I was thinking his "Yoga instructor " I mean really !

purpledalmation · 12/03/2023 09:40

Poor bloke. Have to attend a class with the peasants.

It's supposed to sound ridiculous, because Charles is a ridiculous little man.

😂

What has poor Adrienne ever done to you to wish that skin of lard on her? Whatever it was please forgive her and move on……..

🙂

Theelephantinthecastle · 12/03/2023 11:15

Imagine what you must have done in a past life to come back and be Andrew's yoga instructor

OldPunk · 11/03/2023 15:26

Now have an unwanted image of Andrew doing yoga. Put me right off the tortillas and dip I was eating!

I agree, I imagine his salute to the sun is a salute slight head raise to the very first rays showing over the horizon .

And his tree pose would need at least two flunkies supporting him on either side.
