Something unknown under police guard when Queen died

Colleague claims her friend’s son who is a police officer was stationed at TECA, Aberdeen’s exhibition centre, from the morning of the day the Queen died until after her coffin had left Aberdeen. Apparently this was a 24 hour, round the clock guard, by lots of junior police officers and soldiers - but the reason for it was never explained to those undertaking it. None of them were briefed on why they were guarding the building.

Why would this be? I don’t for a second believe the Queen was in the exhibition centre, as has been suggested by colleague. She indicated that the convoy we watched on that Sunday morning was a decoy. It has bothered me for months though. TECA is very close to Aberdeen airport, wondered if it might relate to the movements of the RF. But then, would the soldiers and officers not be told why they were there?

Oooh! I'm looking forward to this thread! 🤔

Something sinister and macabre, I expect.

Probably to do with Harold and the Queen Mother. Or sea serpents. Possibly bison.

Ha, all plausible theories! I wondered if maybe it was to do with a heightened risk of terrorist attacks.

I’d assume heightened risk of terrorist attacks... there was personnel (don’t know if they were police or services) on rooftops at holyrood.

With guns, I meant to add, what I’d call sniper rifles with my non existent apart from watching films gun knowledge 😂

Probably someone's lunch.

sukiwh · 21/01/2023 20:33

Colleague definitely gave the impression there was something inside the exhibition centre. But what?

I have looked on all the local Facebook groups etc, literally no other people have mentioned this!

Guarding Harry’s ego….?!

<I’ll get my coat> .

LakeTiticaca · 21/01/2023 20:34

Heightened security probably, with several RF members all in one place.

Iwritethissittinginthekitchensink · 21/01/2023 20:35

Maybe they locked Putin in there to save him wrecking the plans

meetmeatmidnights · 21/01/2023 20:35

Ooo could it basically have been like a bunker with all the supplies needed to protect and deploy protection with so many members of the royal family up there?

Luredbyapomegranate · 21/01/2023 20:35

Maybe they intercepted Meg and contained her there?

Glad they were doing their jobs tbh! Good job you weren’t on the crew, OP!

hennythe100footbird · 21/01/2023 20:37

That's a lot of RF in one place... I'd say heightened security due to the inevitable. Don't forget, they would have known how really poorly she was, unlike the general public.

CrapBucket · 21/01/2023 20:39

Maybe they rounded up all the women they had been using as decoy queens for years and wiped their memories.

They would have used Aberdeen for its previous expertise in doing this with fake Santas - as its near the North Pole they do this every year after Christmas apparently.

Windbeneathmybingowings · 21/01/2023 20:39

Her jewellery? Her diaries? Something she wanted to be buried with but knew Andrew would nick and sell on eBay? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Theunamedcat · 21/01/2023 20:39

Loose lips sink ships?

They had a lot of the royal family up there were the crown jewels transpoted up to go on the coffin?

Is this why George didn't go up to Scotland? Too may heirs in one place?

That makes sense. I just really whipped myself into a frenzy about it tonight! Just remembering the hushed tones and the conspiratorial look on her face as she told me that none of them knew what they were guarding. It has been a dull day ok 😂

Well that’s just ridiculous, Loch Ness is nowhere near Aberdeen. 🙄

Prettypaisleyslippers · 21/01/2023 20:42

I think it’s because she was actually a lizard. Lizard eggs etc

The king, his son and grandson, and the late queen before she died, were/are in the same place at the same time on lots of occasions.
