my husband has served his whole life in the British army, 2 as a junior, 22 as full service and 2 years VENG (added extra) he retired at 42 and went into civi street employment. Never has he ever talked about how many he has or has not killed, as his wife I do not know nor would I want to. It just isn’t talked about within the military community, my husband is disgusted with Harry’s claim to his number. He said the idea of them being ‘chess pieces’ is absolutely not something they are trained to believed either. It’s something he would not have known anyway due to the equipment he was flying, the apaches aren’t that targeted, it’s just so awful, whether he was saying he was sorry for or proud of he just should never have said a number…

Totally agree, my sadly deceased relative was in the SAS through the 70's/80's, awarded an MBE (we don't know what for), never breathed a single word to ANYONE in our family about what he saw or did. I'm just stunned at Harry tbh.

Absolutely disgusted and saddened by this - what has become of him. Sad
