The royal family

How dare he???

Archive link to Daily Telegraph article re his US breakfast show Good Morning America interview which showed this morning.

In it he has expressed concern for the "young kids" within the Royal family saying he hoped his efforts to reform the monarchy would help them.

What a nerve!! He is clearly taking a swipe at the Wales family. Who have been at pains to give their children a stable upbringing, protect their privacy whilst acknowledging their place in the system with occasional public outings such as the jubilee celebration. Their children get to holiday at Balmoral and Sandringham and have fun with their cousins. They get to see their grand parents. They go to school safe in the knowledge that there won't be an angry kid there with a gun. They have had the same nanny who seems a very safe pair of hands and very much part of the family contributing to their sense of stability.
Of course they probably also get to see their father upset and furious thanks to the behaviour of guess who??? That probably upsets them.

Harry's children meanwhile have no connection with an wider family and live in a country where school shootings are an everyday occurrence, with California being the state with the most.

Further on in the interview he also says he hoped he would one day be "joined at the hip" with Prince William again, claiming that their alignment would "terrify" the press. Does he see them as a pair of avengers with the sword of truth and justice???

He also claims William is jealous of his position as spare, as he has more freedom and "flexibility to choose the life that I wanted".

But hasn't Harry moaned about being the spare, isn't that the whole point of the book, how rubbish it is being the spare. Maybe Harry needs to read his own book!

Boulshired · 09/01/2023 16:39

It would be interesting to know how he felt as a child and as an adult with his parents airing their dirty laundry in public. The idea that this book will have no effect on his and William children is naive

Yea he moans about everything! He's jealous and wants things his own way, then he's grumpy the older brother gets the bigger room (can't imagine him having a box bedroom tbh!), and has better furnishings in his home yet not 5 minutes before moving out of the UK he'd spent £2.6m on refurbishing his own grace and favour home. I believe W&K started out in smaller accommodation but have been together what 20 odd years now. Plus he's POW and very likely to be king in 10+ years ... so he'll be being lined up with what's required for that ... Harry doesn't need that - he wants it, but why should he have such things, he is in a very different role to PW.
However, he wants to be the spare ... doesn't he ... or is he garnering as much 'woe is me' from as many angles as he can without realising he's contradicting himself .... he's not a bright person, and it's clear he isn't taking direction from anyone who is a bit more savvy

This bit made me 🤨

”Prince Harry said there had to be "accountability" before reconciliation.”

Yes I have to say he's coming across as very blinkered at this point. I think the situation WRT the press etc has done a number on him and he may have now fallen into the trap of seeing everything exclusively through that filter.

I'm sympathetic to Harry but as well as genuine external problems, there's obviously a significant mental health issue which is making it hard for him to get any sense of proportion, see other perspectives etc. I want to wait and read the book in full but from the interview I've seen I think he's protesting too much, to the point of aggression. It's all quite worrying.

George is still being brought up to think he is more important than his siblings and matters more as he will be King.
His siblings will once older have to curtsey to him and ask for money and permission to do things.
Harry is right.

It’s another hypocritical statement just to have a punch at the people he is jealous of.

MM in The Cut article said she would never send her DCs to school in the U.K. as they would be exposed to 40 paps daily’s ….. yet they show pictures of their DC in the bath.

I was supportive of their choice in the early days not to share photos with the press and was impressed by their supposed concern for privacy of their DCs from the public - but it seems that any principles they have evaporate when there are $$$$

Grin

Too funny. You say that as if you actually believe it to be true!

Ticketyboots · 09/01/2023 17:16

I think he is conflating his family members and their opinions / his relationship with them and the tabloid media.

He is really rigid and incoherent at times - it’s hard to know who or what he is pointing the finger at. It seems he has gone off like a Catherine wheel - it’s all quite indiscriminate.

It would be useful to say x, y, z was leaked / planted to a,b,c - in order to deflect from d,e,f.

I have no doubt that the RF / Firm brief the press “off record” - about who, when or what I would like to know the details.

If he was brave and consistent - he could say there was x scandal they were trying to hide so they placed this negative story about me.

I also think the tabloids write shit and lies all day long and it seems PH is claiming all of that comes from the palace which isn’t realistic.

I also think that he is naive to think that Camilla briefing the press for to rehabilitate her image is her doing - that would come straight from the top - HMTQ wanted her image improved and directed a decades long campaign to achieve this.

I don’t understand why they/she had to sell untrue negative stories about PH to achieve that?

How do you know ?

Georgeskitchen · 09/01/2023 17:33

There would be no paps outside the kids school as the RF has done a deal with the media that in exchange for a handful of pics they stay away from the children. Although 40 paps snapping is still mire favourable than one shooter massacring 20 or 30 youngsters IMHO
