William felt guilty re Charles affair

William knew Charles and Camilla were having an affair and felt guilty that he did not tell his mum - Diana.

I felt sorry for the William the boy hearing this. Anyone who has been in this situation as a child knows how awful it is.

Maybe she did. But William did not know that.

I don’t think it’s quite so simple. The rumour has it Charles and Camilla started an affair when William was 4 and harry 2, in 1986. In 1987 Diana’s body guard was moved to a new role due to a rumoured affair in the same timeline.

it was a messy difficult marriage , I feel sorry for both children, it was a hugely hugely dysfunctional marriage that took too long to end and became deeply acrimonious and damaging for all concerned

The rumour has it that Charles continued an affair with Camilla from the start of his marriage to Diana.

But none of us will know the truth.

What I was struck by was the impact on a child William. He should not have known anything about Charles and Camilla.

i think it was 1986. They did stay apart for a short while.I’m guessing William knew a lot more than just camilla, the whole thing was a mess and Diana’s own affairs were rumoured also from when the boys were tiny

Lots of parents do things their children should not know about.
The issue here is that William did know about Charles and Camillas affair.

but Harry is supposed to be telling his story isnt he ? whereas he is ctually divulging everyone else's.. He is alleging his family have leaked stories to the press about him and M ( but hasn't presented much in the way of evidence) and here he is telling everyone everybody else's private issues for money.
Personally I think.he is a fool and no.amount of money will compensate for what he has lost and the stress of worrying about the Taliban taking revenge on his wife and children for his unwise remarks.
What a bloody mess !
