Which isn't a great judgement on his mum - that she'd abandon her kids to protect herself.

You could see it that way.

Or you could see it as devasting grief.

It could even have been a way for his mind to protect itself. Keep that notion alive so he could process the grief bit by bit.

But hey - lets be cynical and really lousy. Lets just listen and jeer.

Interesting that he was so outraged when family members advised him to take his time when planning to marry, yet he felt perfectly entitled to tell his father not to marry Camilla.

No self-awareness at all. Isn't there anyone close to him that can give him advice, or make him realise how he is coming across?

They asked their father not to marry Camilla when they were young. It does not seem irrational - their mother died a violent death.

Much later, in his 30s and a grown man he was ready to marry and did not need to or want to wait.

Again - it seems pretty rational. And self aware.

He talks up race prejudice within the RF in this US interview. Says that they didn't like her because she's American, an actor and black.

He can't get his story straight on this at all.

It is what he has always said.

Re the stories about Meghan

  • about her family these were spurious or provided by her family. What's the value of the RF requesting this when they are getting ready to have her join them.
  • rubbish like her nail polish, wearing tights type stories - what's the value?
  • about her race/previous marriage/suits - don't need inside knowledge to write those stories
  • bridesmaid dresses / ok might have been RF but turns out quite a non story or really about baby brain which was never leaked till Harry told us

I am convinced MM herself leaked stuff about her family esp through the friends who spoke to people magazine and Omid SpiteCobie so do two wrongs make a right?

Also Harry doesn't say leaking was up cover up stuff but to rehabilitate which sounds like camilla and Andrew but really camilla had been rehabilitated by the time Meghan arrived wasnt she?

But you are forgetting that The Crown was coming out, and that season was going to focus on Charles, Camilla, and Diana.

The queen was close to dying so there would be no buffer - the focus would be entirely on Charles and Camilla with a whole new generation or two being introduced to the whole sorry affair.

I watched the Aussie video link yesterday too. Interesting that there was not much sympathy for H by the panel there either. Plus the revelation by them that H wrote about his and William’s circumcisions in the book? WTF? If that is true, not only is That is just waaay TMI, but revealing private details about your brother like this is is just awful.

Agree that the inconsistencies between interviewers on the same subject is quite telling. Also interesting that BBC’s Nicholas Witchall debunked H’s theory that Camilla leaked details from when she first met William as the person responsible had done so unauthorised and resigned straightaway at the time. This example seems to be his only ‘evidence’ of Camilla on PR manoeuvres. I’ve no doubt there was a plan to rehabilitate Camilla from her scarlet woman reputation but this was mainly achieved by keeping her out of the spotlight and never really hearing from her.

Possibly H has confused the C4 series ‘The Windsor’s’ as a documentary 😂

I wish someone neutral could do a forensic review of his claims - eg HK year by year and account for all the thematic themes of the press coverage do we can if there was any campaign or if certain stories came out at odd or convenient times etc.

To the previous poster I'm pretty sure the crown season you refer to was last year so are you saying negative stories about MM up to 2020 were leaked in prep of the crown series? Which covered events already extensively recorded?

After 2020 I think it gets hard to say H&M weren't handing the media things to report on and also pick apart. Since they left other than the queens recollections vary comment h himself says the family isn't discussing it and I don't recall any reports on their feelings other that what what might be reasonably supposed (upset, angry etc)

But yet in Oprah, he said his family couldn't have been more welcoming to Meghan. How anyone believes his crap is beyond me.

I'm surprised to see so many speaking so confidently about a 'delusional state'. I assume they have also experienced a great and crushing grief to speak so authoritatively; unfortunately they have perhaps forgotten that we all experience loss differently

At some level I knew it was a delusion; it was a way to comfort myself that all this hadn't really happened.

I think that's unfair. I doubt he was thinking logically about it in that way.

I think it's a normal stage of grief, bargaining? my friend died when we were 17 nearly 18 and I had some mad fantasies that he'd escaped to plan a new life (even though he'd got in to a good course to do engineering) so the fantasy made no sense logically but it took a while before i understood that these ludicrous scenarios were a stage of acceptance.

Basically anderson cooper had a script and questions harry wouldn't answer, so it was a pointless 'interview'. No serious scrutiny although there was one question harry didn't like but can't remember now which it was. Harry, spiteful, petulent, arrogant and frankly mentally very fragile.

I think you can only make a judgement about whether someone is being spiteful or petulant if you know the circumstances to which they are reacting.

H’s feelings might be fully justified depending on what’s happened to him, but we don’t know for sure, bc the RF cover up anything negative or unpleasant, and obviously the power of the establishment is on their side, and much of the information we know about various events comes through the tarnished perspective of tabloid newspapers.

Given what we now know about press pay offs or settlements, I doubt that H himself knows the full picture.

And the only person who should be making a judgement about someone’s else’s mental state, is the mh professionals treating them, if any.

Why was the video taken down?

polkadotdalmation · 01/05/2023 23:10

@Satinwoodlill879 Considering he did a pay per view interview with a person who considers himself a mental health specialist to talk about his MH, says he's been in therapy for years, take various drugs as it calms his mind and set up a MH charity, I think it's safe to assume he has MH problems.

It not a criticism of his mental fragility but it is of his spitefulness arrogance and hypocrisy.

You can't find the Oprah Winfrey anywhere on line.
