The royal family

So who are these "certain people" Harry kept alluding to?

I saw about an hour of his interview with Tom B and he mentioned several times that "certain people" in the RF were collaborating with the media to spin a false/harmful 'narrative' about him and M.
He outright accused Camilla of doing so at one point, but didn't name any others.

I've no strong feelings about the whole HM/RF shenanigans either way but i'm baffled that, for someone who keeps talking about truth and accountability - and is happy to mention his brother's penis & baldness in his book - he's skimping on facts.

Thos3 saying that the royal family is keepin silent, including the BBC, they are briefing all the papers via sources and close friends…..

PortiasBiscuit · 09/01/2023 07:09

I imagine that the royals found so many reasons to dislike Meghan that very few of them got far enough down the list to need racism. However it is an easier narrative to say “they don’t like you because you are black” than “ they don’t like you because you are fundamentally unlikeable”!

Perfectly put @Delectable

I agree with you @PortiasBiscuit

Harry is paranoid because of his long term drug abuse, like one of my relations. He has nothing to do except whine. He is completely controlled by Whinge.

he was extremely stupid to talk about his drug taking and worst of all reveal how many people he killed.

BigGreen · 09/01/2023 07:46

Ugh the monarchy need to be disbanded. What grotesque spectacle this all is. Jeremy Kyle style.

NCOfCourse12345 · 09/01/2023 08:33

Teenagers are of course going to be very suspicious of the "wicked stepmother" although Harry was 20 when they announced engagement?

Did he talk about Camilla's relationship with him and William afterwards?

That's true Sammy - and if i understood him right tonight, he's now saying the RF AREN'T racist, but that was all media spin (again)?

I thought he said they were racist? Megan said her baby wasn’t a prince because of the colour of his skin?! (Actually he is not in line to be a prince, but they left that bit out!)

he is literally full of crap.

Maireas · 09/01/2023 09:02

That was completely contradicted.
On another note - I found his frequent use of "right" at the end of sentences quite irritating.

There are lots of boarding school educated civil servants who gain from having the royals at each other’s throats. I’d sack the lot of them and get a new royal household who have some personal skills and ethics.

Does Harry have a history of long-term drug use? I don't think he does. He's admitted to using drugs when he was younger. I'd hazard a guess that there are absolutely loads of people who could say the same.

He's trying to demonstrate that these "royal sources" that journalists rely on to write their hate filled articles, don't come out of nowhere. Unless people are really stupid enough to know there are staff briefing the press with no authority whatsoever, it is clearly true.

I feel really sorry for him. He has hated the media his entire life and still does. He feels like he's been scapegoated to protect the more important members of the family and that his wife was rejected. And every week there are endless stories about him and his wife which all rely on "royal sources". He may be paranoid but he it stems from the truth.

@Delectable the public are so easily manipulated yet you make reference to William
Spending lots of time with Kate's best friend. You know that was a made up story, right? The person who wrote it came forward and said so himself. Or are you easily manipulated?

iirc they didn't use the word 'racist' in the Oprah interview, but it was certainly implied & Meghan refused to name the family member who'd allegedly speculated about the colour of their children's skin because it would cause trouble for them (the family member). Cue vitriol aimed at the RF on social media & in the press, and the "recollections may vary" palace statement.
They're now saying they were never accusing someone of racism but 'unconscious bias'.

Seconds out, round 2 - Harry is now accusing "certain people in my family" of leaking stories & colluding with the media to make him and M look bad. Obviously it's too much to expect him to have the courage of his convictions & stop any speculation by naming them, and allow them the right to reply - though whether that would happen is another thing.

They're also briefing journos directly but off the record.

No, it's well known in their circles. The BM generally don't report on William and Kate at least since Meghan was offered up to them.
