The royal family

I have a (H&M) theory

Does anyone think that H&M are trying to make themselves unpopular on purpose?
So, make a load of cash now by selling all these stories and interviews etc, then when the entire world hates them and turns their backs on them, they are basically z-listed by being so untrustworthy. Then they skip away into the distance completely unbothered by anyone because they are so despised. The media wants nothing to do with them because they are so uninteresting once all these 'truths' are told.
They get the money they wanted, and the privacy they desired.

I think they are trying to fuel a USA vs UK culture war. It's not painting any of us in a good light.

BethJ62 · 08/01/2023 22:14

But what happens when the Netflix/ Spotify/ book deals run out ? They have a very expensive lifestyle and will need extra security after Harry’s Taliban comments .

AngelinaFibres · 08/01/2023 22:30

Meghan loves the spotlight and the sound of her own voice far too much to want to hide away.

Iamnotyourmum · 08/01/2023 22:35

Oh give over, if there’s one thing M&H clearly don’t want it’s privacy. Either for themselves or the rest of the royal family.

Georgeskitchen · 08/01/2023 22:38

They should just button it and live the private life they wanted with their 2 small children. Concentrate in building a happy life for them instead of carping to the media that they claim to detest

Twiggywinkle13 · 08/01/2023 22:38

If that’s their plan, then good for them!!

People are obsessed that they want ‘privacy’ they never actually said that. Even if they did, this is what privacy is - the world knowing what you want them to in your own words not shit the daily
Mail et al made up about you!

If people are raging about this interview, perhaps try the sort of therapy Harry has had, he’s given his own account of his own feelings and life and things that happened.

JamSandle · 08/01/2023 22:41

I dont get the sense much of this was planned. It feels very runaway train.

NCGrandParent · 08/01/2023 22:45

I agree to an extent @rosiebl . I think there is a strategy to get "everything" (they don't mind disclosing) out there, under their own terms. flood the market; and then draw a line and move on.

After this flood of coverage, I don't think they are mad for the spotlight as much as keen to use attention on them to highlight issues they care about. - like many high society Americans with their pet philanthropic projects.

I can't see them keeping on bringing stuff up to make more money. I think this is the big dump.

CoolShoeshine · 08/01/2023 22:48

I very much doubt they are doing this for their future anonymity- they’ve guaranteed public and media interest in themselves for the rest of their lives.
if they have any sort of plan I guess it would be to goad the royal family so much that they agree to give them what they originally wanted- a paid for life of luxury and security outside of the UK with full senior royal privileges and titles. In return they will finally shut up and appear to have reconciled with the family.

Hairyfairy01 · 08/01/2023 22:49

Nope, you are wrong OP. The simple truth is KC will get so fucked off with all this shit, he will get his dna evidence 'leaked' and say 'no son of mine anyway '. Simples 😉

Nah

WhatsitWiggle · 08/01/2023 23:11

@Twiggywinkle13

This is a direct quote from SussexRoyal - their own website - in January 2020 when they stepped down

"The Royal Family respect and understand the wish of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to live a more independent life as a family, by removing the supposed ‘public interest’ justification for media intrusion into their lives"

I'd say that's pretty clear that they did not want the media intrusion aka asking for privacy. Yet it turns out they DO want media intrusion but on THEIR terms. They'll happily show candid video of their home life as long as Netflix are paying them.

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/01/2023 23:17

the entire world doesn't hate them. Some journalists and weirdos on the internet hate them, Some people really like them, most people don't give a shit.🤷‍♀️

hoipolloih · 08/01/2023 23:23

🥲 this couldn't be further from what they want

Doyoumind · 08/01/2023 23:25

No. He's got a 3 book deal.

I think Charles clearly is Harry's father.

No. He's got a 3 book deal.

I understood it was a 4 book deal - The Bench , his memoir , her memoir and a Wellness book ?

Draw a line and move on? Oh I do hope so. In fact it’s a shame they weren’t paid double as the more money they have the less they’ll need to keep selling their souls and everyone else down the river.

MrsHGWells · 08/01/2023 23:53

@WhatsitWiggle on point!! All On their terms and monetisation of their narrative.

if H & M truly wanted a non working Royal life - they could have relinquished all privileges and stepped down kept a simple private life.. Yet every other day the pair are stirring pots in the name of truths.. and cashing in on the drama like a night in Vegas. Megan has been the antagonist to fire up Harry.

Chilesstanton · 09/01/2023 00:04

Lol no

SantaOnFanta · 09/01/2023 00:04

Where exactly do they go from here? I can't see what's left for them to do.
