... if people are getting SO wound up and annoyed over Harry/Meghan, then they should stop watching their show, stop reading their book, stop opening news articles about them, stop talking about them all over social media? Etc

It's like people are feeding off talking about them - but then moan that they're being spoken about?

If newspapers and magazines etc get less views/comments on the links to articles they share about H&M, maybe they'll write less about them?

Just a thought.

I knew someone would say this lol 🤣 but all over my Facebook etc, people share articles of them with the caption 'sick of hearing about them' - then why share it or open it 🙈

Who says we're wound up were laughing at them, the only part not finding funny are his boasts that are fueling extremists like those of the Taliban and if that's happening dam right I'm going to follow it incase he puts any of my family members In the forces more at risk, due to him being a complete money grabbing attention seeking arsehole.

I think that's very optimistic since a lot of the posters on the RF topic seem to be anti-monarchist and are all for abolition of the institution!

I think it's just good old fashioned ridicule. I do feel sorry for their children though.

I'm clearly talking about the people that do get wound up by them, you don't need to come and say you don't get wound up by them lol. It just baffles me the ones that you do get, that get so into it with how much they can't stand them and complain about them none stop, but they're feeding into it by sharing articles etc

I'm a republican, never had much time for the current RF, found them tedious, TBH. However, I love British history and find the history of the monarchy fascinating, and this is an historical moment, as Diana's revelations were and Edward VIII's abdication before it.

Also, I like a good old laugh, and half of this book seems to be pure comedy gold; the other half an interesting contemplation of dysfunctional families, family dysfunction passed down the generations, and the effect when 2 dysfunctional families collide and cause a narcissistic meltdown. Those of us who have experienced some of these things on a micro level are interested in discussing it.

None of it would be discussed, of course, if it wasn't being put out by Prince Harry for public consumption. It must be boosting his sales no end, and therefore his ability to provide for his family. I think I'd be a bit sad if I wrote a book and nobody wanted to talk about it. He's winning while he's losing, but ultimately, his US fans will be just fine with it, I'm sure, and that's where he wants to now be with his lovely family. The poor RF are the ones who must be reeling and feeling like the ceilings are collapsing. It's clear that they have protected this unstable man for years, and that what has leaked out about him over the years is possibly just the tip of the iceberg (or frostbitten peen).

People are always going to be interested in other people, in whatever is in the news, communicating about current stuff with others. For most, it's today's subject and they don't care more than that, but are happy to enjoy this week's ride - and next week's, in due course.
