In the hundreds of times I have heard the phrase, and used the phrase it was never so disrespectful that it needed such a huge push back - from my dh no less.

Having a month old baby is hard enough, let alone under scrutiny of the world watching. Plus I find a woman using the hormone argument against another woman gross. Are you on your period? Is it the menopause? All designed to make a woman question her right to an opinion on anything because she has a uterus, and if she’s in any way emotional then that’s her uterus too!
