Where is Meghan?

She’s gone very quiet. No pictures of them ‘being brave’ together, which I would have expected.

My prediction: she will leave / has left Harry who is in the midst of a breakdown. Harry will go into rehab / some sort of support, and then come back to the uk, to the family that still live him despite what must be their despair at seeing his behaviour and frustration at not being able to stop him sabotaging himself and everyone else.

meghan has plenty of reasons she can give for leaving him - Harry didn’t prepare her for life in the rf, drug taking, didn’t support her in mental health crisis…

Maybe she's done what my narcissistic mother used to do: shit stir between us siblings so everyone ended up at loggerheads. Then, when everyone was out the biggest level of fallout (from her doing,) she'd step back when everyone was arguing and say "oh I'm not getting involved..."

Rockybooboo · 06/01/2023 12:40

She's behind you!

StalkedByASpider · 06/01/2023 12:42

I can't stand H & M. I don't like the way they've behaved, and I think they have a very loose relationship with the truth. They've treated the RF horribly. I think Harry's book, Oprah interview and the Netflix series all present a very one-sided version of events which is a long way from the actual truth.

However, I do think H & M are genuinely in love and seem to have a solid relationship. Their personalities seem to complement each other within the relationship (even though they possibly bring the worst out in each other re going public/encouraging a victim mentality). When they're not banging on about how terribly they've been treated, they seem blissfully happy together and they seem to have a genuine connection and love.

I hope they stay together. I hope they stay happy. And I hope they can move on from being professional victims and use their status for good. Archewell could be fabulous, rather than just the token charity which is seems to be now. There is so much potential for them both, albeit I don't think they'll be popular with A-listers due to their blabbermouths.

If they ever do split, it will be horrific and I have absolutely zero doubts that Meghan would do a tell-all - because she's shown already with Oprah etc that is her modus operandi. But I really hope for both of their sakes that this never transpires.

Fieldfly · 06/01/2023 12:45

Barnes - I don’t ‘care’ I just think it’s interesting 🤷‍♀️. I actually really liked both of them when they married and thought as a pair they had the potential to do really good things. I don’t dislike Harry, he’s clearly suffering with some kind of trauma/ mental health issues, combined with not being particularly bright and being very naive. I think it would be very understandable if Megan does leave him - it sounds like being married to him isn’t what she had expected at all and he must be hard to live with. And that’s not based on rumour - he’s telling us and he wants the world to know and discuss it!

I think it’s strange she hasn’t appeared somewhere backing him up but then I also suspect she’s loaded the gun and he’s obligingly fired it 🤬

bakalava · 06/01/2023 12:55

I cannot believe the naivety of people falling for the greatest love story narrative and actually believing that money was not the main motivating factor for the relationship and that she is somehow duped and naive.

If she loved him in any significant way, she would do everything to prevent him from reducing himself to this for money, it would hurt her too much. Even if he insisted, she would be publicly countering it and trying to salvage his reputation.

What about the fact that she is not trying to just be like the Kardashians but via Serena, has actually spent time with them and is forging friendships with them. Doesn't it just confirm it?

Why do you let Meghan get to you. You clearly despise her. I despise Jim Davison,Boris Johnson, Katie Hopkins so I ignore them and it's really easy to do as we're not obliged to read or watch anyth ing.

Fieldfly · 06/01/2023 13:01

His comments about ‘Chels’ must have stung a bit too. For all the money etc I can’t see how he has actually been a good husband to her - he didn’t help her understand what their life would involve, didn’t brief her or prepare her, and has said he didn’t support her well with her mental health. And now he’s written a book and gone on tv and made them both look even worse. I think she has reason to be annoyed!

A few more years with him to share in the spoils of netflix and his book. She'll then divorce him quoting the stress she's been put under and write a book herself. Harry's proved himself to be a basketcase now so she can walk away.

Anniefrenchfry · 06/01/2023 13:07

She’s clearly not left him and neither her or harry have been seen, other than a snap of him walking rhe dog.

bakalava · 06/01/2023 13:12

Money's not in the bank yet 😉

Darcy101 · 06/01/2023 13:16

Ohhhhladz · 06/01/2023 12:29

Why should she be visible/vocal right now in particular? Harry's book is due out next week; very likely she's taking on more than her normal part of their shared family and household responsibilities while he's busy promoting it. That's up to them to decide, not randoms on the internet. She's still doing her podcast if you're really interested in catching up with her.

The childish fantasy some members of the public seem to cherish that Meghan is an evil mastermind/villainess manipulating poor helpless, hapless Harry for fun and profit is just that: a fantasy. He's an adult, and has been for some time. He's responsible for what he does and says, including this book. Let him own it.

Well said.

debbrianna · 06/01/2023 13:16

I hope he is an idiot, as you all claim, so that Meghan can take every penny. This would make a lot of people very happy. Yay!

barneshome · 06/01/2023 12:31

Why do you care

Why does anyone care about anything?

I think it’s more pertinent to ask why anyone putting themselves in a position to invite scrutiny does that?

Wallace stuck by her prince, I'm hoping Meghan does the same.

Wallace was not particularly nice to her prince and had multiple affairs - it was not a happy marriage. I'm not sure comparing H&M to W&E is a good thing.

People wishing them to divorce are a very sad bunch in my view but they all seem to fit the very specific same demographic.

And what demographic is that? Given you’re on an anonymous internet forum?

Suboptimalsitch · 06/01/2023 13:34

My take is they both get each other worked up about their shopping list of grievances. Meghan has used her podcast to discuss topics that upset her, now it’s Harry’s go to do his whinging on TV and his book.

i totally understand them wanting to get the hell out but for godsakes don’t then call one of your kids after the Head of a racist, duplicitous and emotionally constipated family/institution, keep hold of titles granted by that family and make your living by firing grenades at them.

They could have had a lovely life, getting therapy for their fucked-upness, quietly doing philanthropical work and enjoying immense privilege in a gorgeous part of the US with their kids.

Fieldfly · 06/01/2023 13:53

What hatred? I have gone from liking them, to disappointment, then laughter and pity and concer. I’m off work with lurgy, playing on mn - Harry has put him and Megan up for discussion and I am discussing, what’s the problem with that?

This

Oh right, I didn't realise she didn't have so much as a penny to her name when she met Harry. All the other royals have actually worked for their money, Meghan probably never worked a day in her life in any kind of normal job. I can't imagine the mortgage on all those palaces the royals bought - Meghan couldn't even afford a Subway sandwich.
