New low from Mail on Sunday

Although the Queen was 96 years old and her death certificate says she died of old age, The Mail is insinuating the Sussex killed her.

Andrew's behaviour presumably had no impact even though the Queen had to give Andrew a reported £12.5 million to pay his way out of a court case.

What next? Harry and Meghan poisoned the corgis?

"The late Queen’s death certificate said that she died of ‘old age’. But those close to the monarch, who died on September 8 aged 96, believe that her frequent ‘mobility issues’ were impacted by the added stress of her grandson’s decision to break away from his family and criticise the institution to which she had dedicated her life."

Very inappropriate of the Mail to speculate in this way.

The Queen was 96. If anything worsened her health other than physiological factors, it would have been the loss of Philip in 2021 - an entirely normal and common consequence of being widowed in old age.

antelopevalley · 20/12/2022 17:06

I agree Philip dying would have had more impact.

That's horrible.
I won't click the link though.

Sayitagainmyl · 20/12/2022 17:11

It’s a desperate act. But this ‘newspaper’ caters for the lowest common denominator so there will be some (that struggle with logic) who will eagerly pick this up and present this narrative as fact to justify their irrational hate for this royal couple. Fortunately these poisonous pieces have less impact on the duke and duchess now that they’ve moved across the North Atlantic. Good for them 👏

ivykaty44 · 20/12/2022 17:16

Michelle Mone corruption and the £29 million and her fleeing the country, but the daily mail is printing red herrings that people are lapping up whilst this corruption continues

PeekAtYou · 20/12/2022 17:18

Wildly inappropriate especially when they had the cheek to report on the reaction to Clarkson's column too.

PicturesOfDogs · 20/12/2022 17:23

Do you know what I genuinely think this is?

A rebuttal for the comments Harry made that they caused MM to have a miscarriage.

Honestly, i do

PicturesOfDogs · 20/12/2022 17:27

Posted too soon.

I think they want M&H to comment or react, so they can counter with the miscarriage comments.

MumofHorace · 20/12/2022 17:33

Has the media always been this ugly?

antelopevalley · 20/12/2022 17:37

@PicturesOfDogs You could be right.

@MumofHorace No.

Warring family members cause each other stress. It works both ways, obviously. That is why it is better to try and get on with them, especially when there are people in their 90s involved.

MumofHorace · 20/12/2022 17:33

Has the media always been this ugly?

no, journalism hasn't always been this ugly. Rupert Maxwell has changed the MSM and its a money making operation not a service for reporting news that is happening.

There used to be 150 journalists in the old Bailey but now there are two. News goes unreported every day or gets lost in the mass gossip that is making money for these newspapers

over50andfab · 20/12/2022 17:45

Just more shitty speculation from the shit fest that is the shitty media tabloids to post more negative shit about Megan and Harry.

Just to speculate back I actually wonder how much the Queen might have agreed with some of the things brought up in the Netflix series

LlynTegid · 20/12/2022 17:47

Please don't forget that the Daily Mail supported the Blackshirts, sympathisers of the Nazis.

Runningintolife · 20/12/2022 18:01

So did members of the Royal Family iirc

MarshaMelrose · 20/12/2022 19:50

I'm sure Harry sniping at the family didn't kill her. But I'm equally sure it didn't help make her last months relaxing and pleasant.

Fireandflight · 20/12/2022 19:55

It may have caused her some stress, it would be strange if it hadn't. But she lost her sister, then her mother, then her husband. All these events would have been extremely stressful for her, but, she was 96, and her death wasn't really unexpected. It was sad but it was bound to come sooner or later.

BedTaker · 20/12/2022 19:57

Didn't Meghan and Harry blame the DM for her miscarriage?

Tit for tat innit.

MarshaMelrose · 20/12/2022 19:58

BedTaker · 20/12/2022 19:57

Didn't Meghan and Harry blame the DM for her miscarriage?

Tit for tat innit.

And each allegation probably equally baseless.

SnottyLottie · 20/12/2022 20:00

@PicturesOfDogs that was my thought too

MayThe4th · 20/12/2022 20:01

The only reason this drivel continues to be printed is because people are reading it.

Every time you click on a link you are adding to its reading figures. And when you post about it on a site like this or any other you are sharing its message, and adding to the reading figures.

The public (or a sub-section of them) are equally responsible for the existence of these articles. Because the public are the market, and while there’s a demand, the media will supply.

So stop reading it, and more importantly, stop sharing it.

I thought that as well.

yesitssea · 20/12/2022 20:04

Inappropriate to insinuate it in a national newspaper but the stress of Andrew and them going on Oprah no doubt was an added stress her and Philip did not need.
