It is being filmed on the 15th of December and is being shown on ITV on Christmas Eve. I have not seen confirmation if she is playing the piano again.

No. Although if Kate, Sophie, Anne and Camilla do a cover version of Jingle Bell Rock, Mean Girls style, I might tune in.

Yes and I am delighted that the RF will be out in force to support her . No doubt the Middletons will be there too ; they must be seething about the way their beloved daughter/ sibling is being treated by a z list actress.

I said to my own dsis that I bet Kate and Pips look at each other like 😒😒 whenever Megs appears on TV when they're all spending time together Grin

Riapia · 06/12/2022 19:46

Megs has been practicing her recorder.
Unfortunately it clashes with Harry’s bath, book and bedtime.

Why do the public and media insist on referring to her as Kate when her family call her Catherine?

Her family do not call her Catherine. They refer to her as Catherine, but call her Kate in private. Did you not see their engagement interview where William did not once use Catherine?

We have a friend that has hosted them, and her family, at a sporting venue (several times). She is always called Kate behind the scenes.

Re-branding her Catherine was for formal reasons as she’ll one day be queen consort, and we proles can’t call her Queen Kate now, can we?

Why has this turned into a Megan and Harry bashing thread ffs ??

nildesparandum · 06/12/2022 19:59

No certainly not

Indeed, when it started out so nicely as a Kate bashing thread ....

No. But then again I won't be watching any carol services.

I've done my time with church nonsense.

Iamacatslave · 06/12/2022 20:28

Nope.

Cheesecake53 · 06/12/2022 20:35

Not in a million years.

DaphneduM · 06/12/2022 20:37

Absolutely not. I will be watching the carols from Kings though.

Persimmo · 06/12/2022 20:37

If this is to be an annual thing I’m v happy to watch it to kick off Christmassiness. Love carols, love Christmas, royals do Christmas HARD. All. Over it.

DillDanding · 06/12/2022 20:42

I am an out-and-out atheist these days, but I do love carols from Kings - perfect choral singing is very moving. Kate plonking through 2 or 3 chords, I can do without.

BrokeAsABone · 06/12/2022 20:42

I'm definitely watching it. There's something about Kate that is quite comforting and I love carols. I'll be watching Carols from
Kings too.

Can't we watch both?
I love carol concerts.

Not keen on watching Kate and the Middletons.

Persimmo · 06/12/2022 20:47

if we’ve got no Queen (the Original) I want my royals in red tartan and velvet, candles twinkling, collared choirs singing carols earnestly at them, some tweed overcoats for the men, the crunch of cold gravel on Christmas Day and I do HOPE the new King in front of a gold piano (he won’t do it because people will squeak that he shouldn’t be showing off). I want clips of huge Christmas trees at Windsor and furry collars and tinsel.

I’m so sick of doom and gloom. I want Royals royalling, choirs carolling, and massive Christmas trees everywhere.

daretodenim · 06/12/2022 20:49

I didn't watch last year - only heard about it afterwards and I probably wouldn't have watched anyway.

BUT playing an instrument you haven't really mastered in public takes guts of steel. Playing it when you're recorded too for the media (and us) to rip to shreds, is seriously next level. So I may watch it, just to add a bit of support.

Cos obviously without my viewing from my wee house 9 days later, she'll never get through it. 😂

antelopevalley · 06/12/2022 20:52

@daretodenim She did not play the piano in public, it was recorded in a studio for the TV programme. Guessing her nerves were not up to playing live.

ArcaneWireless · 06/12/2022 21:35

I wonder if those who are so carefully scornful play the piano? If their nerves would be up to a public performance? Or a televised one?

Or if they just are a different kind of keyboard player warrior?
