Who is behind the camera taking pictures of Meghan crying?

So true.

RosettaStormer · 01/12/2022 16:30

This was to @2bazookas

healthadvice123 · 01/12/2022 16:23

@YellowAndGreenToBeSeen but if it makes people not watch it then it does nothing for them
Plus they can make public statements if they wish to navigate away from the trailer and how it looks

More will watch than not and H&M distancing themselves would only bite them on the arse. The media / public fall out would be huge.

They will have had zero input into the release date too. They’ll have been told it but schedulers make that decision.

@onlylarkin indeed.

yoyy · 01/12/2022 16:34

Harry knew all that before he ever met Meghan. He could have devoted his life to his interest in military charities. His wife could have been a private nonentity out of public sight, like Timothy Lawrence.

I thought all this nonsense came about because Harry needed to fund his own security? Hence why he's embraced netflix

Meghan and Harry tell the world constantly how they feel at every opportunity, Kate and Sophie don’t have that luxury so I will give them a pass for not hiding their emotions for a brief time.

You can ignore all the leaks to the press.

Whatever, it’s still not the same as having free rein to speak freely or defend yourself, though now Charles is in charge that never complain, never explain mantra may change.

Newwardrobe · 01/12/2022 16:35

Colcat · 01/12/2022 14:00

It's awful. The image of Kate is really shocking. I don't know what they're thinking. They said they wanted privacy!

What image was that ?

yoyy · 01/12/2022 16:35

I personally think it will have big ratings because people are interested for various reasons.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/12/2022 16:36

They can make public statements if they wish to navigate away from the trailer and how it looks

They can, yes, but it might not be the wisest thing to do - unless they try for a narrative of being victims of Netflix too, and I'd have thought there was a limit to how often anyone rational would accept that everything is everyone else's fault

healthadvice123 · 01/12/2022 16:37

@YellowAndGreenToBeSeen of course more won't watch it than not , that hardly happens
Even a world cup final won't get more than half a population of a country watching

yoyy · 01/12/2022 16:38

Charles & Di both gave public interviews not painting the "royals" in a good light. Camilla & Charles had tampon gate details spread all over the press. i'm not a fan of any of the royals but H&M haven't done anything groundbreaking.

healthadvice123 · 01/12/2022 16:38

@Puzzledandpissedoff I think some on here would

healthadvice123 · 01/12/2022 16:40

@yoyy well thats not true is it as they keep going and going and they have made accusations without actually naming so leaving all open ended
The others said their piece and was done and we know how manipulated a lot if that was, the media are awful , no morals and don't care about any of them.
The tampon scandal one was private conversations that now they could sue heavily for , no one should be realising peoples private conversations

healthadvice123 · 01/12/2022 16:41

@yoyy other royals have to fund their own security when not on royal visits so he is no different and not exactly skint.
He chose to be a non working royal that then means no funded security unless on royal business etc

SimonandGarfunkel · 01/12/2022 16:43

Blimey that trailer is unbelievably nauseating as a pp said.

Look it's Me Me Me Me Me Meghan!

All the shite going on in the world and we're supposed to be interested in H&M and their "truth". The way she speaks makes it sound like a serious issue. All those staged photos make them look like influencers. Still they've got to do something to pass the time I suppose. They really are losing any sympathy they had with me I'm afraid.

I think what H&M have done make the interviews Diana and Charles did look tame and as for tampongate Im pretty sure Charles and Camila did not want that in the public domain so I don’t see how that’s at all relevant for royals not having a right of reply.

Apparently it's 6 episodes. 6!! I didn't watch the Oprah thing, I don't think this is interesting enough for 6 episodes. I might watch one in the hope that Harry makes an arse of himself with that guitar.

yoyy · 01/12/2022 16:48

I never said he was skint but obviously he has expensive tastes! I understand why they chose the celebrity route when they had to fund themselves.

He chose to be a non working royal that then means no funded security unless on royal business etc

I could be wrong but I thought they chose the non working route because they would have to self fund their dcs protection?

yoyy · 01/12/2022 16:52

Seriously you think what H&M did is worse than D talking about 3 people in the marriage, etc? 😆

I know tampon gate wasn't meant to be in the press. I meant in terms of lurid headlines & press attention.

Blargh · 01/12/2022 16:52

I used to feel sorry for them both but at this stage I'd really prefer if they just went away. Tiresome.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 01/12/2022 16:52

Please can a psychologist come along and make sense of this
From the outside the timing of this Netflix drop looks like Harry hates his brother , what on earth is going on ?

Or maybe that’s it ..

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 01/12/2022 16:53

Oh the sweet smell of burning bridges. Hope the money is worth is.

yoyy · 01/12/2022 16:53

Apparently it's 6 episodes. 6!!

I assumed it was 1, that is a lot! I didn't watch Oprah, there was enough detail on the news but I will probably watch the 1st episode.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 01/12/2022 16:53

Globally, it will achieve phenomenal ratings. Huge. It will be watched by 10s of millions around the world. A trailer is unlikely to put those - even who will ‘hate watch’ - off.

You are correct

I'd really prefer if they just went away. Tiresome.

If people don't want them about, don't watch stuff, create & interact on threads. If there's no interest they will have no choice but to go away. There's a reason it's headline news on the Daily Mail
