King Charles' CP and anyone involved

Couldn't find a thread about this, but seen some mention the lovely chap that told people to put their phones down and enjoy the moment at his first walkabout outside Buckingham Palace. He was amazing.

The other chap who seems to be in every photo with Charles. He's been everywhere. He was the one who took the pen, he also swiftly stood in the way when the guy was wittering about fuel bills, and also present during the walk from Buckingham Palace behind the Queens coffin. He seems like Charles' right hand man. Fairly sure he isn't his personal secretary, wondered if he was CP. He has also been incredible and deserves a massive shout out, as he's been first to step in at every possible difficulty so far.

Those who are close to King Charles are really earning their money right now. I've no ulterior motive in posting this thread other than to show my admiration (as these people likely make great sacrifices in their personal lives for their duty - as do others in the Armed Forces - so I thank them all e.g. the Queens Guard, young chaps who have carried HM coffin, the ones who have stood on Vigil etc.)

I'd like to also recognise the Police and volunteers in #The Queue and anyone who has been involved in the logistics of this operation. There will be many, and they have likely given up time they would usually spend with family (including this Bank Holiday Monday)

Also, please note that I've posted in the Royal Family topic, so I'd hope there won't be any negative comments. Not least because Her Majesty has not yet been laid to rest.

From an ordinary person. Thank you. I'm disabled so couldn't go to pay my respects to HM, but send my love to all those who did.

God Bless you all.

I've felt the past few days that King Charles seems far more at ease meeting and greeting people and chatting than he does with any of the formality stuff.

The formality stuff is hard enough without grieving and being scrutinised for every facial expression you pull!

I'm hoping this means more visibility and more meeting the actual people and a more modern monarchy.

I'm not particularly a royalist but I'm certainly not republican!

Yes I’m just wanting that footage now and the man asking everyone to put there phones down was brilliant. Such a nice manner with it. I like that they were asked to do that. All this sticking phones in peoples faces looks terrible. I’ve just watched a woman talking to William and she had her phone up the whole time in his face. I doubt the nice man is thrilled so
much of his speaking was picked up on the camera though. I’d imagine they like to remain relatively out of any cameras or voice recording!

Charles’s protection officers have been particularly high profile though out this. I’ve certainly been noticed the same individuals over and over. I think perhaps because it would be rare for me to watch so much footage in such a sheot time. So eg I might watch him on day 1 somewhere and clock security then 40 days later see more foootgae of him another place and see security but not recognise people etc again if that makes sense. They are very high profile currently to me. I’m sure they are well paid relatively but it must be an extremely difficult stressful job. No idea how they can keep them safe in those crowds.

The ordinary police are amazing also both in Edinburgh and London. All called in to do extra long shifts often standing in same spot for hours but having to be vigilant constantly also.

Phones can be distracting to security officers, hiding a knife or whatever next to or behind a person with a phone. lots of hands up… no phones means they can see onto the crowd better
must be a security nightmare walkabouts
