How should QE2 be memorialised?

Talk in the press of the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square having a permanent statue of QE2.

I think there is going to be a lot of debate nationally and locally about memorials. There may be new structures named after QE2 but I think there will also be moved to rename older buildings

How do you think the Queen should be memorialised?

For some reason I thought it was just a known thing that the fourth plinth was "reserved" for her. Maybe I'm misremembering that from somewhere though.

She already is, surely. There are structures all over the country named after her and statues aplenty no doubt. She has innumerable memorials.

(Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn). Yes, there are lots of places named after her, and portraits. I like walking in London, past the statues of people I've heard of, so I would be happy with a statue of her there, but it doesn't have to be on the fourth plinth.
How many horse races are named after her? Am I barmy to think that one/some are?

Talk in the press about Heathrow being renamed?

The above begs the question at what point new buildings are named after King Charles.

Strangely the rights to Paddington are owned by Vivendi, a French company.

She has a bride, a tower on Parliament and a train line. Please let the 4th plinth stay as a place for works of art.

I'm all for a permanent a slot on the 4th plinth. Signage should read: QE2, last monarch of UK
