Consort or queen

If Princess Diana had lived and remained married to Charles, would she have become queen or consort?

She would have been Queen Consort.

Queen Consort, but day-to-day she would have been referred to as the Queen, as the Queen Mother and her predecessors were when they were Queen Consort.

I think the Queen Consort for Camilla is because people need time to get used to everyone's new titles. If people said 'the Queen', people would automatically think of QE II.
