Why Articles about Skip Charles?

Why do we have press articles and comments calling for the RF line to skip over Charles, and go straight to William?
If you support the RF, then the whole point is it is hereditary. You don't get to choose. If Andrew had been next in line, he would become King after the Queen died.
It isn't a popularity contest or even who we think would be best for the job, it is literálly an inherited position.

No - it was Diana all wide-eyed and teary in That Interview, saying she thought that Charles would never have what she called the 'top job'

Ooh, ooh! Another layer to add to the definitely-true-facts - William is driven to "position himself as the better choice and eventually will take the noble dignified single father taking on the responsibility of the throne" because it was Sainted Diana's dearest wish, whispered into his ear at bedtime during the formative years of his childhood, that his father never get the "top job".

Possibly also further bolstered by secret messages direct to him, communicated through the TV waves by Mystic Meg, when she was doing that bit on the lottery results show.

So william whose every move would be scrutinised by the media is going to ditch kate and just ''try again'' out there??? Knowing that Charles' bad marriage and being a bad husband and getting divorced and marrying his OW are precisely what make him unpopular and what make some people consider william superior??? William knowing all that is going to ditch Kate after the queen dies?!

Who comes up with this!

IF he were planning on going solo he wouldn't be doing family christmas cards, he'd be trying to reinforce the brand of himself alone and oh yeh, actually now you mention it, he is married and has kids.

But he is not doing that is he?!

Where do these internet forumistas come up with these rumours!

Yes, Edith Weston, the suggestion that Charles would not be King definitely was voiced by Diana. Whether the idea was already around among the people who consider/ed him to be the 100% wicked one I don't know, maybe it was, but it was one of her weapons of revenge - putting the boot in on him from under her mascara.

@Wilma55

Didn't Mystic Meg or some such predict that Charles would never be King?
Oh, I didn't realise Mystic Meg had predicted it.

That settles it, then - Will 4 King it is!
