Camilla and Anglo/American relations

There was briefly a hot news item that Camilla had been talking at great length about Joe Biden farting. Of course, it immediately brought to mind the famous anecdote about Queen Elizabeth I in the same situation.

But it seemed an odd story, because it would be unlike the Royals - indeed, unlike any civil person - to mock someone for an accidental physical problem, and in this case, it ended up being a bit of a triumph for Biden's enemies.

According to Snopes, it's not even known for sure if it's true.

American here. Biden has bigger problems than flatulence, if it's even true. And even if it's true, I very much doubt Camilla can find nothing better to talk about.

It won't be true.

If it had happened, it would have been repeated in the red tops here, and everyone would know about it (and I have no truck with the idea of palace cover up of something like this, iif it were both true and already in the public domain at least one of them would have published it)

Plus it would have been all over the Internet (royal critics aren't exactly a reticent lot, are they?)

This is just an unfounded story seeking to smear Camilla, whist also being unflattering towards Biden

The joke about the Queen and “I thought it was one of the horses” has been doing the rounds since at least 1987. Paul Burrell claimed it as fact and that he’d heard the Queen say it when he was looking for laffs in the IACGMOOH jungle.

Do you have a source other than the Daily Mail?

@Palavah

Do you have a source other than the Daily Mail?
As far as I can tell, the only British source that came up was the Daily Mail, and the only American sources that (gleefully) picked it up were anti-Biden.

Then I ran across the Snopes comment that left it open.

I suppose Camilla could have squelched it, if untrue.
