I am arranging a cake sale. Do I charge per plate or price the cakes individually. There will be cake slices, traybakes, cake jars, etc...

Is the Queen coming Grin
That's what i was wondering Grin

All the ones I've been to have charged per cake.

Price individually, and try to have no more than three price points (small, medium, large?) ideally two.

Or as it's for charity, then one flat rate, but let people take 2 of smaller items. Simplicity is by far the best approach

(Also wondering which Royal you are hosting!!)

Hmm, still might be a problem even with just 2 price points as I don't believe the Queen carries cash.

Are dogs allowed (asking for my very elderly lady friend's Corgi's!) Grin
I have hosted charity coffee mornings before-definitely a good idea to price individually. I used to display signs for example minimum donation £1 cupcake and £2 cake slice.
I was occasionally shocked by people thinking it was ok to take a cake and pay nothing bearing in mind this is for charity, or put 10p into the box so always best to serve on receiving payment!Confused
