This according to guess who. The DM of course. To avoid getting papers served says the article. Maybe he's just gone for a nice break. Accompanied by Fergie.

I agree partly but wonder if the real cases are muffled out by the high profile cases that go wrong.

mathanxiety · 29/09/2021 23:36

@rubicscubicle

It took so long because he was powerful to the point of being pretty much untouchable, with lots of big shot friends in the music racket, Even today, despite everything that has recently happened, there are people listening to his (very explicitly pro-pedophilia) lyrics and supporting him with placards, etc.

Also because his victims were overwhelmingly black women and children. (As far as we know so far). He understood the establishment well.

CathyorClaire · 01/10/2021 21:22

Aaaand PA is back in the room.

Gurning from the window of his SUV as he leaves Mummy's skirts...

Roussette · 01/10/2021 21:47

Blimey. Back to Royal Lodge?

"The Queen is privately funding the Duke of York’s legal fight against sex abuse allegations to the tune of millions of pounds, the Telegraph understands. Prince Andrew, 61, last week expanded his American..."

Rest is behind Telegraph paywall.

'Privately' funding means we are funding.

If the Torygraph is turning on him, there's no hope for him...

CathyorClaire · 01/10/2021 21:54

Apparently his new attorney is Melissa Lerner from LA based Lavley Singer. A firm with form for making slebs legal problems disappear.

Good luck with that, sir.

Roussette · 01/10/2021 21:56

No wonder it's running to millions of our money then...

Coronateachingagain · 02/10/2021 10:04

The Queen has private money Rousette, so what you say is misleading.

If the Telegraph is turning on him, his prospects do not look good. That may be good news for society. Let Justice be made and he needs to be held accountable. Fully, no privilege.

CathyorClaire · 02/10/2021 10:10

The Queen has private money

Leached from the taxpayer over the course of decades.

VG's lawyers are reported to have had the sealed Epstein agreement released and are so confident there's no getout clause for PA they're handing it over to his lawyers.

That'll save us a bit.

merrymouse · 02/10/2021 10:13

The Queen has private money Rousette, so what you say is misleading.

It’s not really that clear cut.

Leaving aside the fact that the general public don’t really know how much money she has or where it comes from, the split between what the government spends on the RF and what the Queen spends on the RF is a negotiation where her available funds are taken into account.

Roussette · 02/10/2021 10:18

The Queen does not have private money apart from the grey area of her Duchy of Lancaster that sometimes is classed as a private estate and sometimes not, depending on what tax law they want to exempt themselves from.

If it were hers solely, she would be able to sell it, pass it on before her death... whatever. Also it's not liable for Capital gains or Corporation tax unlike us mere mortals...

rubicscubicle · 02/10/2021 11:06

Don't see why he can't pay himself considering he is still being paid for doing nothing and driving Bentleys.

Roussette · 02/10/2021 11:19

He has no private means whatsoever, it's reported.

It was this article.

They are changing their story.

Prince Andrew has bolted to Balmoral
GrimDamnFanjo · 02/10/2021 11:38

At the end of the day I think the RF look at their staff, supporters etc and ignore any public discontent. Andrew knows there's little anyone can do to stop this funding.
In his eyes he's a royal and can do what he likes, he probably thinks he'll win the case and we'll forget all about this.
Charles will want an easy reign, I reckon he keeps his finger on the pulse and will no doubt do all he can to conceal financial support for Andrew.

Roussette · 02/10/2021 12:15

Exactly GrimD

They can do what they want, there really is little accountability. They always said PA lived the lifestyle of a billionaire on just £249,000 per annum. Obviously lots of handouts, otherwise how could he afford a £13M ski chalet and a £200,000 car....

Puzzledandpissedoff · 02/10/2021 13:43

Hilarious to see the claim he has no assets at all - though maybe that's why Sarah's still there, so it can all be put in her name?

Not necessarily a safe move to make though, with her spending habits ...

Serenster · 02/10/2021 13:45

I suspect it will end up like the Luxembourg Prince’s divorce settlement - as he had no money of his own, but lived off allowances from his (sovereign) parents, and lived in properties they owned, he did not have to pay his ex wife a financial settlement.

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 02/10/2021 14:14

I'm sure the tenants of the Duchy of Lancaster are absolutely thrilled that their rent is directly funding the twisted exploits of the most expensive mummy's boy in history.

Q gets 20 million a year from the DofL, which she probably passed straight to Andy who had a tantrum when PC got Cornwall.

AnnunciataZ · 02/10/2021 14:25

This thread is nearly full but there's always this one, on the same topic:
Prince Andrew sued by Virginia Roberts ll

CathyorClaire · 02/10/2021 14:25

There are articles citing him as 3rd richest royal worth about £57m. This one has him being left a trust fund by Granny:

www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/10148444/top-earning-royal-family-net-worth-rich-list/

I suppose if you've always been able to blag a palace at will and not have to worry about heating it, repairing it or paying the food bill and if you can also score lavish holidays from sycophants it's easy enough not to dig too deep into your own pockets.

Roussette · 02/10/2021 14:32

Oh I so love this.
Chortle

Yes the other thread, let's migrate!
