Prince Harry Petition

I haven't included a link as I don't think you can link to petitions on mumsnet - but I am very confused about the petition to Prince Harry to request that he voluntarily ask the The Queen put his titles into abeyance. I realise its by Lady Collin Campbell and not everyone is a fan of hers...but my confusion is I read an article once that said if he lost his current title since he was born a Prince, if he lost his current title and reverted to his Prince title...and Meghan would be known as a princess. or would he by asking the Queen also be able to put his Prince title into abeyance? Can anyone please explain this all to me? Thanks very much

He doesn't need the Queen's permission to simply stop using his ducal title or the princely style. He just starts using his preferred name.

I can't see MM wanting to be called Princess Harry of Wales (it's the same pattern for her as it is for Princess Michael of Kent) so I think the dukedom is the better option

Truth. Instead of worry about Harry, someone should be taking a hard and clear look at Andy.

I don't know know the ins and outs but I doubt they would ever have their titles removed and why should they, others who have behaved appallingly haven't.

It would add fuel to their persecution complex anyway.

Far better to leave them to the big hole they're digging themselves whilst the rf lead by example and continue to do the boring duty jobs that come with the privilege.

Maybe Lady whatserface should stfu and realise Harry is the Queen's Grandson and nothing can change that, whereas she is making a living out of nasty grubby gossip and will eventually be sued, doubt much of what she spouts is true anyway so serve her right when the law suits are served

Princess Michael of Kent does like like a Michael though. Or a Mickey at least.

Lady CC was married for a few months and Colin dumped her as soon as he heard she’d been brought up a male. She won’t drop her title though. Maybe Harry should start a petition.

Ha ha why should he, on the basis of what yet another nobody who makes a living out of a fake title says? If Harry drops out of the line of succession, Andrew moves up. No one seems bothered about that. Least of all her. Wasnt she arguing somewhere that Epstein wasnt a paedophile?
