Do you think Oprah and or CBS should say something concerning the fact that quite a few days ago it it came out the the supposed racist headlines came from British newspapers. When in fact they were doctored to come across that way and taken out of context, and some were also taken from American and Australian papers. I think the media mainly turned against them due to their sheer hypocrisy, just because it was negative press doesn't make it racist. No doubt Megan did get a lot of racism aimed at her, but I think it was mainly from social media where people think they have the right to say vile things, which is wholly unacceptable.

Yes. They should also have researched the ‘facts ‘ better but that wouldn’t have aligned with H&M’s agenda.

It annoys the hell out of me, because a lot of people people have taken what they said as Gospel, even though it has been disproved.

The whole exercise was to get the US behind them - the facts didn't matter as the US public are very gullible about all things British and the RF, the US are also delighted to point the racism finger at anyone who isn't them at the moment.

The interview, and all H & M's claims have gone unchallenged even the complete falsehoods - they have achieved exactly what they wanted (well, Meghan has, probably not Harry because he's burned bridges with his family now).

They are now huge 'A list' celebrities and very relevant in the US and Meghan will no doubt strike several very lucrative deals. They win.

I'm not sure they do win really, at least not in terms of their global reputation. They've always suggested they seem to see themselves as another Obama couple or the Gates couple, but when do you see them (or other very high profile celebrities) airing their laundry on TV and leaking information the way Harry and Meghan have? A lot of true A listers aren't in the news every 5 seconds and certainly wouldn't be doing wealthy Jeremy Kyle style appearances. Once you factor in that they leaked family phone calls following their Oprah interview, I'd not be surprised if many true A listers or high profile power couples keep their distance. Nobody wants friends in their circle who are so desperate for headlines that they sell their family out.

I'm sure the Oprah interview has given them a fanbase in the US, but I don't think it's elevating Harry and Meghan to the level of global respect and status they evidently crave.

Gosh, you really thought that? Even a week ago when you wrote that it was very clear they haven’t and won’t “win” as you call it.

I thought they had “won” but that Gayle King leak was a huge misstep. I can only think that Harry was caught out and didn’t think through what it would look like when he straightaway reported back on his phone calls with Charles and William.

I don’t think OW interviewed them though; she just gave them the platform and audience to air their grievances without fact checking them. I imagine she only cares about the ratings and money, but it shows she has no integrity.

@ColourfulElmerElephant - you're right, it was a farce - no holds barred and not pre- arranged - it's a joke! I'll bet Meghan had every face movement down to a tee and every sentence pre-learnt

She is probably hiding whilst counting her money and figuring out how to justify having a couple of liars on, and backing them up with news articles from other countries that were claiming to be U.K. headlines!

I think there's a good chance Harry only told Meghan, and Meghan took it upon herself to tell Gayle - and to tell Gayle to go on tv to discuss it.

I think you don't know OW very well. She really wouldn't be hiding and is visibly continuing with the work she does!
