It was the most cringe worthy part of the interview and completely busted MM's oh so worldly, sophisticated, mature and intelligent persona.

Slightly.... but why can't she be a normal person and have random thoughts.

When something is in your mind a lot you'll naturally notice it everywhere! When I moved to the UK my mum said that the TV kept talking about London much more than before Hmm most likely not, but she was noticing it more. It's a normal reaction

1AngelicFruitCake · 09/03/2021 17:33

Yes but she portrayed herself as the heroine and presumably everyone else as the baddies. Found it embarrassing!

ChocolateSantaisthebestkind · 09/03/2021 17:35

It was awful. Although I bet PC would like to 'borrow' the big boot from the Simpsons Australia episode and give Harry a good kick up the arse, if we're looking to cartoons and all that! Grin

Ariel the girl who changed herself to meet her prince didn't he turn out to be a twat?

SmidgenofaPigeon · 09/03/2021 17:41

Well, I bet Ariel would have googled Eric if she could have done.

Janaih · 09/03/2021 17:44

Ariel, who didn't listen to her father who said stay the damn hell away from humans Grin
I'm thinking of starting a petition for the sussexes to do another interview, this time with Louis Theroux at the helm.

Azif · 09/03/2021 17:48

Ariel who was actually Ursula in disguise. Says it all really!

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 09/03/2021 21:02

I was actually going along trying to give her the benefit of the doubt when claims had been made she's a bit of a drama Queen. Then she said that and lost me completely. I think the American, and particularly Californian, audiences will eat it up though.

AIMD · 09/03/2021 21:06

Yes that was proper cringe.

RunningFromInsanity · 09/03/2021 21:10

That’s was so cringy.

MammabearX1 · 10/03/2021 21:51

Apparently they have some deal with Disney in the works so the Ariel reference was her attempt at "name drop marketing"... So American & cringe...

SmidgenofaPigeon · 10/03/2021 21:53

I was trying to work out the Little Mermaid happened to be ‘just on’ but I suppose it must be randomly on sometimes.... maybe Grin

Puzzledtenant · 10/03/2021 21:58

It's irritating how the comparison doesn't even work, even if it didn't sound so ridiculous - Ariel got her voice back BEFORE marriage and kept it, she didn't lose it after marrying a prince. And she involved her father in her choices (ok, paternalistic but no mum to be fair!), doesn't sound like MM!

Slambam · 17/03/2021 21:42

It definitely didn't just "come on TV" either did it. She most definitely put it on intently.

ShallWeStartTheMeeting · 18/03/2021 09:40

Ariel lost her voice, prince abandoned her and she died alone on a beach, desperate yet unable to go home.

FATEdestiny · 18/03/2021 09:44

I wonder if unborn baby daughter will be called Arial, or something from the film.

ShallWeStartTheMeeting · 18/03/2021 11:57

Diana, surely?

Samcro · 18/03/2021 13:03

Five words

It. Is. All. About. Her.

Also I think he loves her. I would not venture any further than that.

HeadLikeAFuckinOrange · 19/03/2021 01:18

She was clearly trying to jump on the fact the new LM film has a Black Ariel.

It felt so scripted. So, so planned and unfortunately I feel MM can't quite gauge the ability of viewing public, because I don't know how she thought she could pass that off as having been an organic epiphany
and not something she imagined would sound both random but also deep and prophetic

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 19/03/2021 02:59

Thought I missed a part where they talked about washing powder Smile
