Obviously, well is pronounced well, but how is Arche pronounced:

1 Arch (silent e)
2 Arch- eh
3 Arsh (to rhyme with harsh)
4 Ar - kee
5 Ar - kay
6 Ar- chay
7 Ar- shay
8 none of the above?

Genuinely neutral question, just was not sure when i read it

Sorry. Couldn’t help it. Grin

cabingirl · 21/10/2020 22:39

Their own website says this

Arche (/rki/; Ancient Greek: )

So it would be ark-ee

JaJaDingDong · 21/10/2020 22:45

I had assumed Arch-well, because of Archie.
But you've made me think now.....

callmeadoctor · 21/10/2020 23:22

Not sure.......

Strangedays20 · 21/10/2020 23:26

I wondered that when I read it earlier.

TheChristmasPrincess · 24/10/2020 12:13

I always assumed Arch-ee (Archie) well but now im stumped 🤔

Maireas · 26/10/2020 09:42

So, if it's Greek, it's Arki well? I thought it was named after the little boy.

ElizabethMainwaring · 26/10/2020 09:46

No, their son was named after their vanity project.
I'm sure I read about them saying this ( not the vanity project bit).

JaJaDingDong · 26/10/2020 10:18

So, if it's Greek, it's Arki well?

Yes, as in archetype.

notangelinajolie · 28/10/2020 00:25

Well it's named after Archie so read it as 'Archie well'
