A continuation of the thread discussing the Cambridges' contribution to the pandemic.

I don't think we can assume Prince Andrew's guilt at all

We've already had this discussion but I'll ask again. Why do you think he won't cooperate with the FBI when he stated that he would on national TV and why do you think he's hired a shit-hot extradition expert?

LaurieMarlow · 29/04/2020 20:40

We can assume his guilt in continuing to hang out with a convicted sex offender, despite knowing about his crimes.

We can assume his guilt in having no empathy whatsoever for the victims as he bleated on national tv that he didn’t regret the relationship.

He’s obviously a complete scumbag and the fact that we’re supposed to bow and scrape to this disgrace of a man underlies the absolute stupidity of the concept.

I don't think we can assume Prince Andrew's guilt at all

I think you can absolutely assume if it was anybody other than a member of the royal family their ass would have been on a plane to the USA without a shadow of doubt.

I think you can be certain if he had nothing to hide he would be answering the questions and sharing his innocence. The gall of the royals thinking they should get away with controlling the investigation by 'giving an interview from home'.

Winterlife · 29/04/2020 23:30

I think you can absolutely assume if it was anybody other than a member of the royal family their ass would have been on a plane to the USA without a shadow of doubt.

How, exactly, would that be achieved? Unless the person is charged with a crime, there is no way US authorities can force that person on a plane.

SamanthaBrique · 30/04/2020 11:31

No they can't but I'm sure they could request answering questions by video link.

Winterlife · 30/04/2020 13:10

There is no requirement, in law, for a person to answer questions, whether or not that person is a suspect in a crime. Authorites can request that any person answer questions, but that person cannot be compelled to answer questions.

Questions by video conference may not be admissable in court, as video can be altered. So, I don't believe answering questions by video is a proper investigative technique.

StoneofDestiny · 30/04/2020 14:19

There is a moral requirement to help investigate paedophilia.

With his morals, I can see why he might not recognise that.

eddiemairswife · 30/04/2020 14:49

Perhaps we can send him to America in exchange for that woman who drove on the wrong side of the road and killed Harry Dunn.

LaMarschallin · 30/04/2020 14:59

I'd happily send him to America in return for an In-and-Out burger (no branch near us).

But your idea is better, eddie.

LaMarschallin · 30/04/2020 15:02

Ah.

I see it's "In-N-Out". Of course it is.

And there aren't any UK branches!

Gosh.

Winterlife · 30/04/2020 15:09

There is a moral requirement to help investigate paedophilia.

All of the girls were sexually mature. Therefore, this isn't an investigation of paedophilia. It is an investigation of ephebophilia.

With his morals, I can see why he might not recognise that.

I can't say I know Prince Andrew's morals (though I have little doubt they are very different from mine, given the dodgy connections he's made), nor was I referring to Andrew. I was responding to the statement that if anyone other than a member of the RF were in this situation, they'd be on a plane to the US. I don't think that's true. Ghislaine Maxwell, who supplied all the girls to Epstein, apparently resides in the US, and she hasn't been charged with anything. I find that . . . odd.

SamanthaBrique · 30/04/2020 17:01

Isn't it an investigation of sex trafficking?

StoneofDestiny · 30/04/2020 18:20

Yes sex trafficking. I thought some were minors maybe not. (Really grown up at 17)

Winterlife · 30/04/2020 18:43

Almost all of the girls were minors, but all were sexually mature. Therefore, not pedophilia. Legally, it is classified as sexual trafficking of a minor, and sex with a minor. Epstein was also charged with various prostitution related offenses.

eddiemairswife · 30/04/2020 20:00

Would they be minors in the US, but not in the UK?

CathyorClaire · 30/04/2020 20:40

Ghislaine Maxwell's current whereabouts is allegedly unknown. Apparently she can't be found even by PI's. The Sun offered a £10K reward for info leading to direct contact with her earlier this month.

Personally I wouln't be surprised to learn she's negotiating her arse off for a plea deal and I also suspect she'll throw anyone she has to under a bus to get one.

Mamamia456 · 01/05/2020 23:21

Well it seems as though William and Kate haven't just been lounging by the pool since lockdown. They have been preparing and helping to deliver meals to the elderly and vulnerable in their local area. Princess Charlotte has been helping them too. The scheme which has been running for 5 weeks delivered 1000 meals in the first week alone.

Perhaps they did listen to you afterall Wolfgirrl! 🙂

Wolfgirrl · 01/05/2020 23:22

@Mamamia456
@Clavinova
@Alsohuman

Can you please explain to me why Charlotte, a child, was able to deliver home cooked pasta to isolated residents nearby, considering it was a security nightmare, Kate probably can't cook in her enormous kitchen, and they're supposed to all be staying at home and setting an example..?

Bonus point for an excuse as to why Charlotte can do this but not Kate/Wills on a regular basis.

Wolfgirrl · 01/05/2020 23:23

Maybe @Mamamia456 !

Now to really impress the public they need to do it regularly not just once for PR.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 01/05/2020 23:26

She probably delivered to the cottages in the grounds of the palace. Regular people live within the walls too.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 01/05/2020 23:27

Sorry "house" - I forgot Sandringham isn't a palace.

SamanthaBrique · 01/05/2020 23:28

For isolated pensioners in the local area, apparently.

Mamamia456 · 01/05/2020 23:29

Wolfgirrl - They have all been doing it not just Princess Charlotte, the scheme has been running for 5 weeks, so they probably are doing it on a regular basis. I think Kate took photos of Charlotte as it's her birthday tomorrow and these are the photos released for the occasion.

Wolfgirrl · 01/05/2020 23:32

We can't assume it is being done regularly. It's only once that we know of.

I will cautiously withhold judgement for now.

Still no news on the helicopter though.

Wolfgirrl · 01/05/2020 23:33

@Mamamia456 are you prepared to admit the reasons you gave as to why they couldn't possibly prepare and distribute food were wrong..?
