I’ve looked at that Insta post and of all the wording they’ve ever done, the “if you’re bored” about training as a counsellor really takes the penguin biscuit. That’s actually shockingly irresponsible.

Feel like responding “I’m like, not bored enough to train as a counsellor or anything, but like training as a helicopter pilot for free could be kinda fun maybe I guess, could you guys like arrange that or anything???”

This pesky Coronavirus has really pissed on their bonfire hasn’t it? Imo what they’ve done is really sinking in with them now, especially Aitch, who I think was beginning to have doubts at the time of the Westminster Abbey Service. I can see them starting to think about ways in which they can get back, using the current crisis as a reason. I wonder though if they realise that it will be nigh on impossible to rehabilitate themselves with the British public or whether their well-demonstrated arrogance thus far will shield them from this horrible reality?

He looked more pissed off at his family, rather than regretful, to me. I think he will eventually have regrets, but it is early days yet. Think chickens will really come home to roost in a year.

Ah, but, Winterlife, you are making the mistake of looking at the situation as if we all live in a fair and equal world/society. We don't, and, actually, that's fine. We all, in our own way, have to come to terms with living with inequality. Life is not equal ("fair"), and all our social engineering of it will only ever tinker around the edges.

Well, the only way to equalise the inequality somewhat is to try and get something back for our efforts. This is, I feel, where Meghan went badly wrong. She doesn't seem to get the part that the taxpayers expect something in return. She acts as if this is an unreasonable expectation. Even simple gestures would suffice, so she has played this badly.

Must say, though, the response from all royals has been lacklustre during this. Would like to have seen something other than just a concerned face and a brief "We thrive in adversity" from the queen, although I'll give her a pass due to her age and obvious not bothered-ness (it's fine not to be bothered about anything at 93).

Hello, re-de-lurking to say how much I am enjoying this gentler, penguin themed thread. If HaM are providing comfort to their followers, well good for them. I can't really see it myself, but I hope it works out because Lord knows if we couldn't afford their additional security before we certainly can't now.

I have to say, I am watching carefully. This situation will test their mettle - will they rise to the challenge and produce something out of the bag? Even a daily yoga pose would be quite helpful. They have dogs -"Yes you can with canine yoga!". One hundred ways with hats? How to wear your engagement dress when taking a stroll? How your Gucci kaftan can double as a dressing gown when in quarantine? Getting value out of your Valentino! Or...will they just take the money. Come on, HaM. Be creative!

Ok, I was unable to follow the link (not on Instagram or Twitter), but I am much more moved by people helping each other in the community than some birds singing. And I don’t really think counselling course and talking to people I don’t know would be that helpful. I am self isolating, but will try to shop for some elderly in the neighbourhood when I am allowed out. I think that would be more helpful, but what do I know.

I don't think the queen handled it badly though. She is 93, high risk (as is her husband and son) and has lived through the war. She probably think we will get out on the other side of this as well. And William and Kate visited an 111 centre, I thought that was nice. Those centres must be completely overwhelmed at the moment.

I wish H&M would start putting out daily yoga poses though. I think Harry would look really funny doing yoga, maybe beginner yoga for the self isolating?

If I was the DM chief editor I’d offer MM a well paid daily online feature, something like Daily Downward Dog with the Duchess, guaranteeing her publicity and millions of clicks for my paper.
