I'm going to Pippa Middleton's wedding - you?

I don't have an invitation you understand; but I'm planning to go and stand outside the Church (or Mum & Dad Middleton's house, haven't decided yet) and watch the wedding party arrive/depart. Will be fun and a nice atmosphere, plus a good opportunity to see the Cambridge family. Anyone else planning the same?

Stillsaying it's been reported in the press about the no ring no bring. Who knows if it's true.

pictish · 12/04/2017 09:54

Ehhh it wouldn't be for me but you have fun.

Itaintme · 12/04/2017 10:02

No ring no bring? WTF? That's actually made me laugh at the madness of it.

abcBears · 12/04/2017 10:07

why? Don't tell me she is of any interest because her sister married well?

They will recoup every penny of the wedding by selling photos everywhere, so it's not like we will be able to avoid it anyway. Now we know who buy the mags.

pictish · 12/04/2017 10:12

Some are speculating the 'no ring no bring' policy is to keep Harry's gf away. I wonder if that's true?

KateAdiesEarrings · 12/04/2017 10:15

pictish is that's true, I'd love Harry to rush through an engagement announcement Grin

PortiaCastis · 12/04/2017 10:15

Why would anyone of sound mind waste their time gawping at a non royal

KateAdiesEarrings · 12/04/2017 10:16

if that's true not is

Gazelda · 12/04/2017 10:17

Will you wear a hat?

EffinElle · 12/04/2017 10:19

That's just weird!

missyB1 · 12/04/2017 10:22

God no I'd rather stay at home and gargle with wasps!!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 12/04/2017 10:24

How would one phrase that request in a wedding invite?

hoddtastic · 12/04/2017 10:26

you just don't give a plus one I assume? Or name the partner on the invite?

Itaintme · 12/04/2017 10:26

In a poem?

CruCru · 12/04/2017 10:29

Seems a bit intrusive. She's a wealthy woman who's sister married a prince and who wrote (with quite a bit of help on the recipes) a cookbook. I can't see the point of lurking at her wedding.

abcBears · 12/04/2017 10:30

no ringy, no bringy
and women over 50 only

We know that Kate must come to attract photographers and the public, but you could picture a "no competition on the day" rule Grin

ajandjjmum · 12/04/2017 10:36

Don't think they need to worry about recouping the pennies - he is extremely successful.

I wish them well - but wouldn't go to watch.

Rosa · 12/04/2017 10:36

YOu obviously don't know the area because the church is pretty impossible to actually get to ( one road which will be closed I expect and parking is non existent in the vicinity . Its actually a good choice becuase it will be easy to block off. Its right on the edge of a private estate as well so I wouldn't waste yoru time and just go to the pub !

mustardcream · 12/04/2017 11:16

Oh no! I'm not local to that area & had no idea the church was private and it would be difficult to access. Where will the paparazzi all gather then? I've always wanted to see Will & Kate & the children and thought this would be a good opportunity to royal watch :-)

You need to be a campanologist, you never see the weddings you are at though.

ShoesHaveSouls · 12/04/2017 11:22

I'll just do the normal pleb thing - look on Daily Mail online to see the pap pictures. I love looking at people's wedding dresses.

I think it's only fair that Kate (slightly) upstages Pippa on her wedding day, as Pippa (slightly) upstaged Kate on hers. All the bum stuff Hmm Wink Grin

abcBears · 12/04/2017 11:31

I swear I have seen more pictures of the Middleton Sisters' bums than the Kardashians, and in various state of undress. Granted I shouldn't look at the Daily Mail online so much, but really...

TheSpottedZebra · 12/04/2017 11:34

OP, why do you want to see Will and Kate and the kids?
I never really get this, so it would be great to hear why.

Hillfarmer · 12/04/2017 11:45

Why would anyone of sound mind waste their time gawping at a non royal

I don't know why anyone of sound mind would waste their time gawping at a royal either.

EdithWeston · 12/04/2017 11:49

It's become a tradition if you live near Sandringham (MIL did it, taken by her parents when she was a girl) but that was for the royal family at an occasion when lots of them would be there.

Not quite the same to doorstep a wedding which has a royal couple as guests.
