On September 9th, the Queen is set to overtake Victoria's record and become our longest reigning monarch. She's been around an awful long time. Has she got a nickname? - I can't think of one.
If you think of Good Queen Bess or Richard the Lionheart or William the Conqueror or the wisest fool in Christendom, they all had their moniker. Even her mother (the QueenMumGodBlessHer) had one.

She's not though. Shes the longest reigning BRITISH monarch. ..

Years ago I had a dream that the Queen had retired, she was skipping along a beach wearing a floaty pink dress and a purple scarf. I hope she really is happy to be carrying out official duties at 89. I'm not particularly Royalist but do have huge admiration for her.

As pp said, the King of Thailand is the current longest reigning monarch. HMQ also has a way to go before she beats Louis XIV of France, who reigned 1643-1715, over 72 years. But he was only four when he succeeded to the throne.
