How many of you are excited for Kate's second child?
Are you looking forward to the first glimpse of the child.

I could live with an interruption to the election coverage I think Jane Elizabeth Diana for a girl or Richard Phillip Charles for a boy

frankie80 · 02/05/2015 07:39

Just woke up and saw Kay Burley's grinning face which can only mean one thing!

Come on baby!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 02/05/2015 07:55

?Sees Frankies post and runs round going "waaaaaaaa"?

Now how to steal the TV off DD who is watching cartoons....

BBC article: she's been admitted.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 02/05/2015 08:05

Ahh im off camping this afternoon for the weekend and I so wanted to see tgem depart the hospital with the baby!

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 08:06

ThinkIveBeenHacked I doubt there'll be anything to see for hours, other than crowds of wellwishers and lots of TV crews arriving.

And all those nice fluffy filler pieces of course, that have been sitting ready since this thread started 12 days ago.

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 08:07

I was going to say watch on line, but not everywhere has a signal.

Watch from a pub?

GlacindaTheTroll · 02/05/2015 08:11

Second baby, possibly being induced.

My guess is short labour (and hope it goes well), delivery today, and set piece leaving the hospital in front of all those the cameras tomorrow.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 02/05/2015 08:14

Depends if the baby arrives before lunch she may well want to get home this evening.

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 08:24

They're going to announce by emailed press release and on Twitter.

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 08:26

And it seems she was admitted at 6 this morning (Palace confirming that at 8), so all those stories about convoys yesterday were wrong.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 02/05/2015 08:29

Ahhh im not on Twitter

EdithWeston · 02/05/2015 08:32

Are aren't most people. I'm sure I read somewhere in general election coverage that only about 25% of the UK population does use it. (I'll see if I can find it again).

But I suppose it's the service that provides the nearest thing to a press release to the public.

EdithWeston · 02/05/2015 08:35

(about 24m, against population of 64m)

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 02/05/2015 08:37

They should do an announcement through Mumsnet Grin theres plenty of us!

meditrina · 02/05/2015 08:56

There will be oodles of threads, there always are!

(most in chat so disappear)

I hope it goes well for them today.

GlacindaTheTroll · 02/05/2015 09:06

An enduring game of 'hurry up and wait' !

(mourns ends of hopes for Leia or Padme)

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 09:21

It is rather all just waffle by the press at this stage.

I wonder if she's aware of it at all. An audience like that must be pretty high on the list of 'things that inhibit labour'

Or perhaps you get used to it, and you end up liking TV news about yourself?

EdithWeston · 02/05/2015 10:36

The only bit of actual news seems to be that everything is progressing normally. Which is good to hear.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 02/05/2015 10:39

Reckon theyll probably have a good few hours of family time before anything js annouced (Id hope anyways! I know most people want that).

Fingers crossed for a swift safe birth.

JoanHickson · 02/05/2015 10:43

I doubt there will be another Absolutely Carole Middleton press conference, this time.

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 11:25

Girl!

8lbs 3oz

meditrina · 02/05/2015 11:30

Huge explosion of duplicate threads going on Grin

AuntieStella · 02/05/2015 11:38
Crown
EdithWeston · 02/05/2015 11:44

I've just flipped on the telly to watch some of the coverage.

Presenter says Lindo offers glass of champagne to new mothers and asked MW commentator if that's a good thing. Not sure she was expecting the answer 'Yes, absolutely!'
