How many of you are excited for Kate's second child?
Are you looking forward to the first glimpse of the child.

If it's an in-labour transfer it'll be be road, surely, if she's in London. Very short distance and they can call on police outriders if they need to.

Of course she might not be in London at all. Prince William was on Sunday for the Gallipoli commemorations, but she could be anywhere.

MadameJulienBaptiste · 28/04/2015 15:57

I thought she was in Norfolk? Road transfer from there to lino wing = roadside birth 'among the people' Grin
I wonder if her fil has been ringing every day asking 'has she performed yet?' Angry

EdithWeston · 28/04/2015 16:59

They've sent pastries to super fans camping outside the hospital news.sky.com/story/1473716/william-and-kate-treat-royal-fans-at-lindo

The box had a pink ribbon, which is being taken as A Sign.

AuntieStella · 28/04/2015 17:06

This BBC story from early April says they chose the hospital. And their staff have been popping in and out.

Lots of tabloid stories that she's overdue.

PterodactylTeaParty · 28/04/2015 17:10

Ugh, being overdue is rough enough with your friends and family sending chirpy "any news yet???" messages every bloody day, let alone the national press getting involved.

MadameJulienBaptiste · 28/04/2015 18:29

Yes a pink ribbon to celebrate the baby girl in Norfolk already Smile

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 28/04/2015 18:51

Nah shes just been papped coming out of Buck Palace after taking George for a swim.

AuntieStella · 29/04/2015 10:41

The Telegraph put the paparazzi pic on their front page www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/kate-middleton/11569540/royal-baby-news-latest-prince-george-swimming.html

They say (though goodness only knows how they know) that she's a week overdue.

IvoryMadonna · 29/04/2015 18:35

I'm quite excited, but only because I've had a quid on a few names. Hoping for Alfred at 66/1. George and Alfie, I could see that.

AuntieStella · 29/04/2015 18:54

Alfred would be rather nice - when did the royal family last use it? It makes me think of cake!

IvoryMadonna · 29/04/2015 19:12

One of Queen Victoria's sons was Alfred. Can't think of any more recent ones.

IvoryMadonna · 29/04/2015 19:15

Yes, Alfred the Great is a terrific role model, except in the world of baking Grin

HarrietVane99 · 29/04/2015 19:30

I must admit to refreshing the bbc news page quite frequently to see if there's any news. I'm bored with election and this will at least be a positive story.

I bet the media are hoping she doesn't pop on election day. They won't know what to do with themselves if that happens.

Girl - Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
Boy - Arthur Michael Philip

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 29/04/2015 19:37

A friend of mine is similarly excited and no doubt if I dont see a news article in time I will get a whatsapp from her. We are also on Keira Knightley baby news alert too. Cant think of anyone else due around this time....

AuntieStella · 29/04/2015 19:52

Still 8 days until the election.

Today's their wedding anniversary (more Cake ?)

frankie80 · 29/04/2015 21:59

getting fed up waiting! I want to know what she has and what she calls it!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 29/04/2015 22:07

Dont we have to wait a week or so after thw birth for the name announcement?

Wonder if they trot off to the registry office or if someone official visits them at home instead.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 29/04/2015 22:09

Oh and if today is their wedding anniversary they will probably have a bonk, so she will be in labour by 6am tomorrow, bubs out by lunchtime.

StupidBloodyKindle · 29/04/2015 22:19

I like all new babies. If I was having a punt on the name I'll go for a girl and Alice. (Although Peppa would be outstanding!) Wink
But I will never, ever, for the life of me understand all these people camping outside the hospital of a baby/family they are neither friends with nor related to. Confused Just...why?
Can you imagine if it was on MN that 'my MIL is currently camped outside the hospital awaiting the birth of second t.v.' Everybody would be wfaf, so why is it fine/seen as patriotic history in the making little trip just because the royal family are seen as public property/this a royal heir. Just cannot get my head round who decides to do that and are they tourists/local/taken time off work/travelled? Is this their holiday?
Just mind boggling.

EdithWeston · 29/04/2015 22:20

"Kate Middleton baby: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge concede it may be another week"

From this Telegraph article

So unless ThinkIveBeenHacked's tmi theory is correct, maybe it will coincide with the election. The overnight news broadcasts, usually just for the count, might be a little different!

StupidBloodyKindle · 29/04/2015 22:22

T.V? Grin

gc

IvoryMadonna · 29/04/2015 23:10

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have signalled that the wait for their second child could go on another week, after arranging for parking restrictions to be extended outside the hospital where the Duchess will give birth."

That's just bollocks. It'll be the police or the council or whoever's responsible for these things, just making sure that they aren't caught out. The baby could be born tomorrow, but might need to be kept in hospital for a few days for some reason. The Telegraph knows jack shit, so they're making stuff up.

EdithWeston · 30/04/2015 12:52

The police/council will have done it in consultation with the Household (no idea which would be responsible for initiating the event planning). And the Duchess' own public comments earlier on were middle or end of April.

So I suppose she probably is a bit overdue by now.

It must be tedious for her, especially as the HG might have meant she felt pregnant very early on and it must seem as if it's going on forever. Poor thing.

AuntieStella · 30/04/2015 22:20

Well with only a couple of hours of April left, it's gone beyond those timings.

And the BBC website now has a handy guide to induction (was on the front page for much of today).

SummerHouse · 30/04/2015 22:25

Any news yet?
