Thread hidden

Can I just ask why my thread has been hidden?

Are we not allowed to actually ask questions or have discussions anymore on sensitive subjects without being thought of as being perverts or trolls?

I am a long time poster, but very often name change so have seen plenty of troll threads in my time, but sometimes it’s just ridiculous.
We are all mostly adults.

The trans relationships

I do completely understand that it can be a sensitive subject for some, but there was absolutely nothing on there that could have been construed as being derogatory to anyone in the trans community, nor was it any worse than any other thread I’ve seen on here talking about sexual relationships.

Again, we are all mostly adults and really should be able to discuss subjects regardless of what they are, if not where is the growth in knowledge?

Thread was genuine....smacks of some sort of 'phobic' behaviour to me!

You may not have noticed but the site is heaving with trolls and sockpuppets at the moment, that's probably why your thread was reported.
Night Watch can't unhide threads or posts only MNHQ can do that.
Also, MNHQ has a LGBT children section, which might be better than AIBU.

As I said I have been around a very long time, so yes I do notice and have seen my fair share of troll threads, however just because something isn’t the norm doesn’t mean it is a troll, in fact many moons ago didn’t MNHQ actively discourage troll hunting?

You can clearly see the thread was genuine, but I’m not going to go back and forth over it, as it’s pointless. Also I posted in chat not AIBU or the LBGTQ children’s section, because I was not being unreasonable in asking a genuine question nor was it about an LBGTQ child, which would have been wholly inappropriate.

Absolutely and I’ve no doubt this one will be gone by the morning.

Also would like to point out that just because someone else agrees with me, I’m not a sock- puppet either.

As others have said, it looked like this thread had a lot of reports quite quickly so the Night Watch may well have hidden it for that reason, until we could have a look.

We have looked over it now and to be honest, we do think it was best left down. We completely understand that it wasn't your intention to do anything other than ask a question on something about which you were curious. However, given that it was about two real young people (albeit unidentified) we just felt it was a bit too personal and that the thread was unlikely to go well. We hope you understand.
