There’s a couple of strange and not very nice posts in ask me anything....

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 21/10/2020 00:13

I came by to mention these.

TBHno · 21/10/2020 00:17

Awful Sad

Apple222 · 21/10/2020 00:27

I agree. Deeply unpleasant.

FlibbertyGiblets · 21/10/2020 00:28

Yea please do get rid, horrible stuff there.

Aquamarine1029 · 21/10/2020 00:29

I'm starting to wonder if new threads should have the first post reviewed before being published. These trolls are despicable.

MoreCookiesPlease · 21/10/2020 00:38

Reported this too. Very disturbing.

CocaColaZero · 21/10/2020 00:41

Horrible Sad

ReefTeeth · 21/10/2020 00:44

I reported one as well, where's @nightwotcha?

GarlicSoup · 21/10/2020 00:47

Also reported both threads thank you

GroundAlmonds · 21/10/2020 00:50

Creepy.

vodkaredbullgirl · 21/10/2020 00:51

Both taken down

ShopoholicIn · 21/10/2020 00:56

I saw those too... very weird. Good they have been reported.

EineKleineNachtwatcher · 21/10/2020 00:56

Thanks for the reports

Timetochoose123 · 21/10/2020 01:00

I'm not sure I agree- I mean yes, not nice to read for sure but I was more shocked to see how in denial some people are. These things do happen to children and this is how some react, hurting others. Her story completely adds up, I'm educated in this field of psychology. It's hard to read, which is why it should be read. This was a brave post imo, turning the other cheek is exactly how abuse this OP suffered continues for so many children. Perhaps the OP was hoping to educate but got the cold shoulder by some. Personally I find this very sad. I applaud the OP they've come a long way.

GroundAlmonds · 21/10/2020 01:05

Even if it were true, @Timetochoose123 (and I’m sure such things happen) it’s better kept to a therapeutic setting.

People don’t want to read detailed descriptions of animal abuse, and the time of night it was posted, suggested she knew that it wasn’t appropriate.

grassisjeweled · 21/10/2020 01:06

Didn't see the animal one thank god, but of a coïncidence it's at the same time as the other one though, ugh

feministfemme · 21/10/2020 01:13

@Timetochoose123 Animal abuse and homocide are not topics that are posted at 1:00AM in an "AMA" forum by people with good intentions. I'm sure people might have been more sympathetic to her plight if she had talked about overcoming her abuse without the graphic detail and triggering clickbait.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 21/10/2020 01:16

I also reported these threads.

MawnyStannit · 21/10/2020 01:18

@feministfemme Well said.

EineKleineNachtwatcher · 21/10/2020 01:20

I think it's best if the posts are not discussed any further now Smile

MingeofDeath · 21/10/2020 01:27

is it half term?

Timetochoose123 · 21/10/2020 01:40

I can't remember exactly what her post was named but I do remember it was explicit. You knew what you were going to read about and then when the reality was exposed became angry at her. There is so much in that right there. Unbelievably symbolic of closed curtains, turn the other cheek behaviour. The day we as a society take responsibility for the abuse that children in our community suffer is the day we will see change.

Maybe it was a troll- whatever that is anyway.... A sociopath perhaps that enjoys upsetting people, has no awareness of their impact towards others only geared towards their gain? Well maybe then it was a 'troll' many, many abused children suffer lifelong severe mental health issues that they never asked for. But whoever they were, they showed change, a long hard struggle to do better. Would a troll do that?

I still think there was an education in that post and their other one. I don't know, part of me wonders that if it upset you so much you shouldn't have clicked onto it, you knew what you'd be reading. Other readers may have been able to offer her empathy rather than shut it down and be angry at the exposure of horrors that happen to children every single day, adding shame and isolation.

feministfemme · 21/10/2020 01:43

@Timetochoose123 Are you the OP's NC? Trolls and sociopaths are not the same thing. I think abused children can change, but that wasn't a good example of an improved mental state (if it was real, which I doubt).
