Have just reported to HQ. Was thinking about coming on here but not sure if I would have been flamed for doing so...

Someone who admits to being a troll threatening suicide is iffy teratory in the middle of the night.

I have posted on it to tell her to call the Samaritans on the off-chance she’s genuine, but either way I thought suicide posts were taken down as a matter of course...

I've taken it down. Its a difficult call but MNHQ don't allow threads like that and chances are they're a PBP too

I'm trying to hide them but there's a glitch with that option. Bear with me 🤔

I saw the posts and was concerned for her. Am I naive? She talked about her kids.

There are always going to be sympathetic people on here late at night, admitting to trolling and saying she doesn’t deserve sympathy was likely to play on people’s sympathies.

Likely the suicide post in itself wasn’t real. We’ll of course never know, but if they’ve been banned before then HQ need to be aware of that, possibly they thought that admitting to trolling and apologising for it might mean they’d get to stay.

I'm pretty certain it's a very persistent PBP.
They come on nearly every night.
It's usually DV, police based.
They're quite easy to spot now.

I think that admitting to being a troll was a post modern touch.

Understand the PBP bit.
Don't understand the DV bit, and how that plays into this poster sending such messages/trolling, with or without police involvement

I always think it’s a bit crap to ban them instantly, imagine if it was a legit post and someone now commits suicide because their post was deleted and it was their last attempt to reach out for help. I was going to comment on their post but obvs can’t do that now

They haven't been banned yet.
Night watch hide the thread and then MNHQ look behind the scenes.
It's incredibly rare for a hidden post to be reinstated.
Night watch know what they are doing, they don't hide stuff on a whim.
